The Masterpiece team are masters at creating FUN. This set is obviously old ans not up to the standard of most of their rooms, but the puzzles and vibe in this room were top-notch. High recommend. This is my second favorite here after Wrecked!

I’m really surprised with how many of these reviews are more negative about this room or mention bad gameplay (including the final room which we enjoyed). We played with a group of 5 and there was always something for every person to be doing and many tasks that we could all work on together. Yes, the room is an older style and doesn’t have the set design that some of their other rooms have but it’s still a really fun time with a nice mix of puzzles.

I love the world that this game and its sequel Coral Kingdom Aquarium create. It’s this over-the-top superhero/supervillian city where every inch of both of these games is filled with as much off-kilter humor as possible. Any time they can slip in a funny detail they do. This game in particular really relies on this humor because the set design and gameplay felt a bit dated. It’s a pretty generic office atmosphere that gets even more vague on where you’re supposed to be later on. The 1st 1/3 had probably the best jokes around it, but I do not remember a single puzzle in this section. The later sections meanwhile, while having the worse set design and story consistency, had my favorite puzzles in the game. The big final interaction had nothing to do with the game at all, but I had a lot of fun with it anyway. But this barely mattered to me playing the game solely because the amount of jokes in this game is amazing, and this game is worth playing just to experience this world. I’m very happy we decided to play this game after seeing how funny its sequel Coral Kingdom Aquarium was. Despite it not being the strongest as an Escape Room, I still recommend playing this and Coral Kingdom (in that order) to players of any experience level, especially if you’re into absurdist comedy. thought this room was fun! did it with my friends and we thought the puzzles were pretty straight forward, nothing super innovative. definitely would love to check out their horror themed rooms as that seems to be their specialty. madi our GM was fantastic!!

This supervillain room had a fun start with hilarious background audio and a silly premise. Unfortunately, the room gets worse as it goes. The final room is particularly painful, with repetitive annoying tasks. Once we beat it, we got to do a fun final bonus puzzle. We loved the characters of Doctor Devastation and Captain Goody-Two Shoes! Wish the overall experience were a little stronger. Instead, there was such devastation, which was not my intention!

Fun room, with some interesting puzzles. I like that they made the room harder for us because we have done multiple escape rooms. It was a cool twist from the normal room. We definitely appreciated that!

My wife and I did this one last tonight after doing two other rooms at Masterpiece earlier in the evening. This one started off pretty easy-going but ended up very intense (brain-power wise, not scary). It was a very fun room. All of the rooms at Masterpiece have been fun but the last section of this room was very unique in our game room experience of 60+ rooms. I felt like I needed a nap after finishing it. Lol. I won't spoil it. Several of the puzzles we did in this room required good coordinated effort/communication but was easy with just two of us. We really love how Masterpiece's rooms are doable with just two people but can easily accommodate plenty more and does not focus on the time limit which is helpful when there is only two of us and lots of puzzles.

Probably my least favorite of the 3 rooms I’ve done at Masterpiece. It was fun but not memorable. If you’re a beginner or looking at coming here with children, I would slightly recommend Deadwood over Metro Mayhem. If you’re experienced and not bringing kids, then I would recommend the more mature-themed rooms.
It was a good room for beginners or children 7 yo or up (with adult supervision). Some technical difficulties were encountered which broke immersion.
Spoilers: First room was meh, Second room seemed very sterile and wasn’t much fun. Third room was the best.
