Through the Sugar Glass was such a cute and fun experience, and honestly the best way I can describe it is that it felt like Candyland turned into a full escape room. The moment you step inside, it feels like you’re in a magical, Christmas-like world that’s warm, whimsical, and full of nostalgia. We did this room with our kids right before Christmas as a special treat, and it ended up being the perfect choice. They had been asking to do another escape room, and this one was so family-friendly and fun that they enjoyed every minute of it.
The set design was incredibly thoughtful, with so many cute details throughout the room. From the giant candy-themed elements like lollipops, gumdrops, gingerbread, and peppermint, to the overall atmosphere, everything felt like it was designed to make you smile. There were also a few fun surprises we weren’t expecting, which made the experience even better. It’s a room where you should be ready to move around a bit, since there are moments where you may need to crawl or go up stairs, but it all adds to the adventure and keeps it engaging the whole way through.
One of our kids’ favorite parts was that there were sweet treats included during the experience, which made it even more exciting for them and added an extra little touch that felt special. Quest Tavern always does an amazing job with immersion, and this room was no exception. Even their lobby sets the tone and makes the experience feel fun from the moment you walk in. Our game master was Diego, and he was great. We had played with him before in another room, so it was really fun getting him again and seeing how he helped bring this experience to life.
Overall, Through the Sugar Glass was a 10 out of 10 for us. It’s a great option whether you’re going with kids, with a partner, or just if you want something light, whimsical, and feel-good. We had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend it.
