I was nervous going into this room because of the technical mishaps that folks shared in earlier reviews. I’m happy to report that our experience was the complete opposite. There were no crashes and we had a very attentive game master, who knew to anticipate a certain pop up needing a little extra thud. I would classify this room as part video game, part escape room. I resonate with the description “story-driven-augmented-reality-task game with some puzzle elements.” Overall, my group had a lot of fun with our Interstellar Escape! Don’t go in expecting your typical escape room and it will be a blast. I am giving this a heart because the video game portion worked well with our puzzles so Wild Goose did listen to feedback. I’m also impressed with their use of a small space. We had a group of 8 and it did feel stuffy at times because the room already has so much tech but there was plenty to do. Highly recommend and I wish they still had a leaderboard for their point system. That would be the cherry on top.

It’s a beautiful set with great attention to design details and an impressive use of a small space. Caveat is that this is not a “traditional escape room” with heavy puzzle solving. But rather it’s a “story-driven augmented-reality task-game with some puzzle elements”. Go in with an open mind and you’ll have fun.

It was a decent room until… the game crashed. It seems like this was not the first time nor would it be the last time. It took about 30mins for it to get up and running and when we finally got in, we hit the “video game” part and that took about 30mins. Absolutely horrible controls and zero way to move on without finishing. Our room was at 6pm and we did not walk out of there until 7:55pm. The whole experience was extremely overwhelming and disappointing. Especially after paying 75 PER person. They did not even bother to offer us a partial refund or discount (besides the one they offer everyone at the end of there game). The game master were incredible and quick to try to fix the issue

The escape room portion of this escape room is fun (if imperfect), while the video game portion is absolutely dreadful, unless your idea of a good time is to pay escape room prices to endure the purgatory of playing a bargain-bin PS2 game with a dysfunctional controller while mournfully wishing your were doing an escape room.

Be warned: this is a giant video game and not an escape room. And a very mediocre video game at that. Had high hopes after doing a very good different game at this location. Some of the physical elements of leading up to the video game were not functioning properly. The plot of the game was entirely incoherent. The video game portion itself was quite terrible. The perspective of the game doesn’t make physical or geometric sense. The actual ship is incredibly slow, and takes FOREVER to “upgrade”. The ascend and descend controls do virtually nothing. None of the areas are logically laid out, leading to a frustrating feeling of piloting a “ship” designed so imcompetently that it almost feels built specifically to frustrate. The worst feeling is that 90% of the work in the video game itself doesn’t matter — due to poor design you can ignore all the instructions and just skip to the end. You might be able to have fun in this one. But if you’ve ever either played a half-decent video game or played a truly good escape room, then you’ll most likely be disappointed.

Gameplay

Very poor flow. Nonsense plot.

Great room! We did it with two people and It really does need 2-3 people minimum. There was so much to do, and it kept us busy!

Awesome experience! I’d classify this less as an escape room and more of an immersive space experience, but that doesn’t detract from it being an awesome time! That being said, the puzzles themselves were pretty easy. This is one of the only rooms where I’d say having more people helps, as the fun of this room comes from the teamwork experience rather than solving difficult puzzles. I absolutely love when rooms have optional extra things for you to do, and this room had some bonus content to explore. Groups of 3-5 would be good, as there is actually something for everybody to do. My only gripe is that it’s a bit on the expensive side.

We had such an amazing time in this room - as a large group with 4 kids we were looking for something to suit specific interests! With a son on the spectrum and obsessed with Star Wars this was just right to gain his interest!
