My wife and I decided to play their scary room to knock out the list of playing all the games this company offers. It is among our three least favorite games we have ever played at extreme escape all three share this common theme where it’s supposed to be scary and it’s just ham-fisted.
The game was 8 puzzles and very frustrating to have so many red herrings in such little game play. To include such a big time waster toward the end.
It looked like evil clowns were running this dumb carnival. There were some unnecessary loud sounds that some people might enjoy but were just infuriating, this company has that problem at a couple of there games. Loud for no reason jump scares.
Dude couldn’t have been more bored. This company has 2 locations and said he’s never been to the other one and it’s only 10 minutes away. I expect my game masters to be enthusiastic about all escape rooms. I don’t want to interactive with a host or guide that doesn’t want to be there. Then when it came time for the rules he talked so fast I couldn’t understand him and don’t care to ask him to repeate it as we have played all their other games. But new players would be totally lost.
The intro video was disjointed from the story of the game. The spokes person for the carnival was never mentioned narratively again and everything he said was annoying fluff. Plus yo can watch him read his teleport lines 3 or 4 times. Each of the 8 puzzles. Based on the 7 deadly sins. Had no other narrative connection. They were standalone puzzles in a box. I cannot imagine any experienced escape room players leaving this experience feeling like it was fun.

A solid room with a fun atmosphere and good variety of puzzles , but with some minor puzzling issues. Pros- Set looked nice and was of good quality, and made you feel like you really were in an evil carnival. Simple effects added to the immersion and kept carnival goers on their toes Puzzles were on theme, interactive, and fun for the most part, and even the not-so-unique ones had twists to make it fit into the story world, with one really unique puzzle I had never seen before in over 100 rooms. A memorable ending Cons- with some puzzles there were multiple ways of interpreting the same information, both in logical ways. So one would have to try both ways. puzzles needed a little more clueing in order to make certain connections. Some physical locks were near puzzles and one would think it was subtle clueing that this puzzle goes with this lock, but that was not the case which caused some unnecessary frustration when dealing with many locks. The lighting added to the evil carnival theme, but there was a little too much difficulty by darkness. Story was not very clear

Awesome atmosphere and fairly interesting games (some puzzles unique and much better than others). Gameplay was only hampered by several frustrating technological issues with puzzles triggering (a common theme here unfortunately). If you didn't perform action at the perfect speed or sensitivity you wasted several minutes trying again and again thinking you had it wrong. If that was fixed room would be 5 stars.

A fun haunted circus room. The logic of the clues is sound, but the breadcrumbs could be better in a couple of places -- I was playing solo and took hints which were "right answer" "different way of using it" both times. The set looks great and the game elements are good.
