This was a very fun room! This was my 47th room (42W - 5L) so I still consider myself a novice, especially since I ride the coattails of my teammate, Baby Squirrel. Today I played with four other players with similar statistics ranging in ages from 10 to 59 - it was nice having younger brains leading the way. As prior players have mentioned, the room is linear but I didn't feel like anyone was standing around with nothing to do. If fact, a couple of puzzles require more than a couple of hands. Despite moving at a pretty fast pace, we barely finished in time (50 seconds remaining). We received a couple of nudges, primarily along the lines of , "read it again..."
The decor was lovely and everything was in working condition. The puzzles were a mixture of high tech and mechanical.
The story was fun and the room was very immersive.
The decorations and puzzles were impressive and immersive. Everything was in great condition and worked without a glitch.
Our GM was very nice and he respected our request to offer hints / nudges only when requested. His typical advice was for us to read or listen to the instructions again - lol.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
The story was fun and the puzzles were fun to solve. I enjoyed going back into the room after we escaped so that my teammates could show me what they did to solve their puzzles while I was working on another one.
The pre-story was very involved. I was a little worried before we entered the room that I would need to remember all of the details, but it was fine. The story was just that, a back story.
This was my 47th escape room (42W-5L) which I played with four teammates with similar statistics. Our group agrees that this room was on the hard side of medium based on our experience. The sheer number of puzzles makes this a bit difficult. We finished with 16:38 remaining.
The room was a nice mix of mechanical and tech-y, but slightly more tech.
We played as a group of five which was a nice number for us. No one was ever standing around with nothing to do.
We don't do scary. The room was dim though.
My suggestion is 8 years old only based on a typical 8 year old attention span. But if you have younger enthusiasts, you should certainly include them.
Everything was in good condition and worked without a glitch.
We don't do rooms with live actors.
Physically active
Somewhat
There was the usual scurrying around, kneeling, and crawling.
Accessibility
I think this room would be difficult for people with impairments. Puzzles and instructions required hearing, sight and physical abilities.
