The room was great and definitely one of the top rooms I've done so far. It's one of the few companies in Japan that has escape rooms in English.
It has a really good set design with a good sense of progression and the feedback is good (you know when you've done something right).
They did a really cool transition as well (trying to be vague) which was quite novel (few other places have done a similar thing) and it was a fantastic idea.
The story is really well told, full British accent type and absolutely no hindrance with English only. The invigilator was good, broken English but we'll enough to converse and get us through the briefing. Any hints are given through the voice recordings so no breaks in immersion too (unless I guess you do something really wrong).
Overall fantastic room, I don't have time on my trip to do the rest, but would definitely come back to try the rest. Strongly recommend if you're able to give it a shot, and especially if you want a break from the regular Japan tourist itinerary.
Game time is 1 hr, but gamemaster will let you play longer if you need. Average completion is maybe 55-70 mins.
GM was friendly, their bar offers drinks post game as well so you can chat over a drink as well.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
Fantastic story, well told and well constructed and always keeping you in the loop (not just a start and end touch point).
I'd say fairly hard or medium hard. The GM said the fastest they'd seen were a duo escape room creators who finished in 43 mins.
I completed as a duo, 3-4 works well, probably not more than that.
Yes but was quite inconsequential and we were warned ahead. Was pretty much just an input mechanism issue.
Physically active
Not at all
Google maps works pretty well, 10min walk from train station, but a little away from most tourist spots. There's no big reception area, each room has its own waiting area, so you just gotta go to your room door and knock.
