Your “Botanist Manor” mission will transport you to the heart of Scotland, to Kirkwall, in the Orkney Islands. In 80 minutes, you will have to infiltrate a mysterious escape game called “TimeGates”, owned by the eccentric Ewan McAllister in order to find the trace of Sarah Fisher, a journalist who disappeared a week ago. Herald Scotland investigative journalist Sarah Fisher disappeared without a trace a week ago near Blair Manor. This historic place has today been transformed into an escape game center, called “TimeGates”. Your mission if you accept it is to use the time machine to go back a week in the city of Kirkwall. On site, you will have to infiltrate this escape game by pretending to be ordinary customers and thus try to save the journalist before it is too late. Over the last 5 months, local police in Kirkwall have recorded around thirty unsolved disappearances of tourists traveling in small groups. This normally peaceful region is today plunged into uncertainty and fear, investigators suspect the actions of a serial killer. Ewan McAllister, the owner of Blair Manor, is a renowned botanist, specializing in the study of tropical plants. Following a personal tragedy, the loss of his son, Ewan McAllister changed his career direction and moved away from the scientific community. He has since created a mysterious escape game called “TimeGates” in his family mansion, now suspected by local police of being a cover for other activities.

If you love good puzzles that make you think, this one is for you. And the design and production are also outstanding. Sometimes with great design, puzzles can take a back seat, but here both were present. The lobby is also beautiful, and it immediately makes you realize the high standard you are about to experience. I cannot wait to return to do the other rooms!
So many fun puzzles!

It was funny room with surprising story, as a group of 4 we had fun and managed to escape just on time. I would not recommend for more than 4 people or less than 4. If you in Brussels you should visit Escape Rush for sure. 👍

One of the most mind bending games I’ve ever played. A meta love letter to escape rooms with a fun twist. Definitely my favorite from Escape Rush and a highlight of our trip

Botanist Manor lives up to its reputation. We enjoyed the set and the puzzles, the story was entertaining with some unexpected twists. We are looking forward to a future visit and play their other rooms here.

This room was amazing. The puzzles just kept on coming and were very intersting. I loved the idea and executions and was very suprised by all the effects they used in the room. I highly reccomend playing this room. This is the best room escape rush has to offer. All their ideas combine and work together gloriously in this one. For the other rooms, a lot of things felt lackluster for me. This was not at all the case in this room. Go try it!
