1 escape room

As someone who loves escape rooms, this is the 1 room I would tell everyone to AVOID!!! Red Giant is completely uninspiring and left us feeling bored and cheated. There was not a single “ah-ha” moment or proper puzzle. There was no creativity in this room. It was torture. So many “puzzles” were just a waste of time. I can’t believe we wasted our time and money on this room which I couldn’t wait to be over. There is no indication when something is accomplished, and the doors didn’t stay open. This room was entirely following instructions and walking in circles looking for things that may be relevant. Even going back to a previous room required us to use our fingernails to pull open the door. While the set design was cool, the puzzles and practicality didn’t match. An utter waste of time that no one should go through. I wouldn’t recommend to even beginners as this room could single-handedly make people despise doing escape rooms. Everything felt like a chore and the only redeeming factor came at the end. This room should have been demolished before we had a chance to book.

I went to this escape room as a group of 2 and wouldn't recommend going with more than ~3 Good: The theming and design of this escape room is really great and looks very professional. There are some really cool design effects in this room. Bad: The puzzles were a little too easy for the most part while others were too unintuitive. This room is expensive compared to other better rooms. They also gave us only one headlamp for two people and it was too dark for the person without the headlamp. Ugly: There was one puzzle that as other reviews have said really needs to be removed from the room. It feels like it is hard for the sake of being hard and would be difficult for someone without a hint. I don't know if we went on a bad day either as the GM seemed like he wanted us to get out of there. Overall: A nice room for design/effects, but lacking in the puzzle department.

Red Giant is a fun and immersive room with amazing puzzles. Gabriel was a great game master and made the whole experience so much more fun! Definitely try it out!

I have never been in a more immersive room (save for Magnifico in Montreal) but boy do I dislike dark spaces and function worse in them! This room has a gorgeous set that really makes you feel like you’re in an Egyptian tomb, and had some really creative puzzles! I particularly enjoyed this one room where something starts happening that really makes you feel like you gotta solve a puzzle or perish (in a good way). That being said, there were a few things I didn’t like: set dressing got in the way of puzzles (e.g. if you can see something distinct through a door and there’s a puzzle in the door, I’d expect the thing you can see to be relevant), and there was one really finicky puzzle where the GM did essentially tell us after the fact that it’s unreasonable for people to figure it out.

The theming of this room was incredible. A cool experience, but I would prefer more puzzles.

This one is a tough one. While we did love the game when we played, we found out afterwards that the man who owns this company is terrible. It made us rethink our experience including the somewhat offensive cultural costumes that they offered another group for a different game. This game itself was great, but I worry that we might not have had the same experience were we not all white people. Morally, I just can’t recommend Quest Rooms and there’s a good reason we never went back.

I think if all of the tech in the room was working flawlessly, and one of the puzzles wasn't as frustrating just to stare at. It would have been an excellent room. The vision was there, but the execution was a little underwhelming. The ending was a very nice redeeming factor though. So I'd average it out to a thumbs up experience. I think 2-4 people could handle this room pretty well.

I feel like we did this room on an "off" day, so I won't give it a full thumbs down. The GM didn't setup any backstory for us before we headed in. The excessive use of prerecorded announcements in the room actually broke the immersion and made the room feel dated. There were some cool effects and the scenery was great, but figuring out what was a puzzle and what was decor felt clunky. It was hard to know what we should be working on next.

Gameplay

Puzzles didn't flow into one another. Often wondered "what now?"

Atmosphere
Customer service

They were welcoming, but the GMs whatever attitude and lack of a story setup made it feel like they didn't care.

Carpool or tandem park in their spaces, otherwise you're screwed.
