This room has incredible theming and design. The story is a pretty standard escape the temple storyline. Gameplay is linear and becomes increasing less intuitive as you progress from room to room. The first room is pretty easy to get through. The second room has one puzzle that is a time sink, a few that require a hint or two because it's not obvious what to do and a multi-tiered puzzle that would be much easier if certain parts were able to stand on their own. The third and final room is very dark. The first two challenges are self explanatory but after that, it's really hard and very frustrating. This game was 4/5 on their scale. We have played three other games here that were 3/5, 4/5 5/5. This was harder that all three of the others. Not sure who is rating their games.
It was fun and flowed well in the beginning. It became increasingly less fun and flowed less intuitively as the game progressed.
Set design, special effects and props are impressive in all the rooms here and this one was not exception. Fully immersive.
Staff is always fantastic. Our GM Kris is always fun.
Particularly interesting or different
No
Temple theme is pretty common and there was nothing in terms of gameplay we hadn't seen before.
Standard escape from temple story
The final room is dark and has several puzzles that are not intuitive and require a lot of time to solve.
Only two locks. a Three digit spinner and a key lock.
We played with 2 but it might have been helpful to have one more for a couple of the puzzles.
As long as they're ok with dark/dim lighting, there is nothing scary or inappropriate for kids.
Physically active
Somewhat
There is one physical activity and a fair amount of running back and forth and up and down steps.
