We just did this for my boyfriends son's birthday!! He wanted scary so we couldn't decide between the orphanage or the nightmare hotel we chose the orphanage and loved it, our game master kris was phenomenal, he said in his opinion the nightmare hotel was scarier and even stay open so we could do it as well. A must do game, we all had a blast and couldn't stop talking about it the jumpscares were perfectly timed, the puzzles were just difficult enough..

Really wanted to love this one as this was our first time here. I think it may have suffered from its mall location atmosphere. The room was fine with some clever puzzles and moments but our GM truly made the experience so upsetting. We had plenty of time left but we were overhinted unwillingly consistently throughout the room. There was a few puzzles that were just big time wasters which took the majority of the time, and if it was an actual puzzle they only gave us about 1 minute to figure it out before announcing over speaker (sounding annoyed too) the answer. Brought a decent room down to a quite bad time so I’m in no rush to return, sadly.
Some of the puzzles were clever and fun but some were very obvious tike-wasters and the final puzzle didn’t make much sense. I felt like we were doing stuff just to do it but I don’t know why we were even there.
This was the highlight and the only reason I didn’t completely dislike the room. There were some really fun set pieces, scares, and LARGE surprises. But a lot of unused space. Also, one set piece was cool /at first/ and then became a massive annoyance for the rest of the game. I’m so glad we played with 2 people otherwise I’d have gone mad.
Our GM was not energetic in the slightest. She seemed bored and awkwarded out the whole time, I’ve never had less of an intro into a game. Plus we got WAY TOO MANY unwarranted clues despite us making several comments that we didn’t want any more without asking but it never stopped. If we pondered a puzzle for more than 2 minutes the solution was announced over speaker. This really really bogged it down for me.

Overall, a really good room. They definitely put effort into being better than most. Impressive technology in some places, but pretty minimalistic overall.

This room was Awesome! And so immersive! The jump scares had me so frightened and not wanting to travel anywhere by myself lol. Do it, you won’t regret it.

This was our first room here. We were very impressed by the high-caliber theming and decor in both the room and the lobby/common areas. The common areas have a modern design aesthetic very different from the steampunky vibe at most places. The room itself had fantastic decor, theming and props. Completely immersive. Special effects were impressive. A few jump scares which we loved but some people might not like. This is a linear room and story and challenges were well integrated. A few new things we'd never seen before. Very high tech and only a couple of locks. Highly recommend. Can't wait to try more rooms here.
Gameplay was linear and flowed very well. There were a few new things we hadn't seen before even after playing 100 rooms.
Very spooky. Set design, special effects and props were all very well done and completely immersive.
Our GM Kris was very enthusiastic and made the experience more fun.
Yes
There were a few features and effects that were new to us.
Spooky and all room elements were well integrated.
Medium
Nothing overly difficult but a couple of time consuming challenges.
High tech
Definitely high tech (and cool). Only a couple of locks.
2
We played and escaped with two. Gameplay is linear so more people are not necessarily an asset.
Spooky
A few jump scares in case you don't like that sort of thing.

The atmosphere and jump scares of this room are probably the best parts. Our GM, M*, was okay. He was good at voice theatrics, but he was either trying to manage too many rooms at once or was not really paying attention to ours, as he gave us at least two wrong hints on one of the last puzzles, which wasted a lot of time. The "puzzles" in the room are also much more tech-based, but they felt kind of wonky for what they were going for or needed refinement to actually function on their own without GM assistance. Too many of the puzzles are just tedium chores without anything to really solve, so they just make you feel more like they're there to pad out the time to escape the room. There is also a hint tablet that is completely useless in the room, as we tried using it for the puzzle I mentioned before, but it just ended up giving a hint for another puzzle several rooms back. Maybe we just went at a busy time, but it also felt a lot less personal than some other escape rooms we've visited, as we never even met our GM in person. We will probably try other escape rooms or this room at another location before returning to the Orlando one.

I am absolutely gagged by this escape room. This was my first room at this location. The set was so insane and huge. There were so many rooms and I was terrified the entire time. There are lots of jump scares and they are done so well. The special effects were the most impressive I have seen in an escape room yet. The puzzles were very simple and not anything too amazing. This is probably where the room falls short. The puzzles are easy but they can be tedious and difficult to understand the mechanics of. There is one specific puzzle near the end of the room which was super time consuming and tedious. This caused my group to barely finish the room. Our game master was amazing and super helpful. We could tell that he was focused on our game as the clues were extremely helpful and relevant. I am surprised by the negative reviews and I think that this location was able to fix any technical difficulties and problems they originally had after opening.

Nightmare Hotel is well themed and has great puzzle flow and special effects. This is perhaps one of the best haunted/ scary rooms I have done. Expect several jump scares and spooky sound effects and props. Serval ppl in my group got caught by the scares but I loved every one and every moment of it. I highly recommend this room and our GM Jordan, who provided us with one of the best escape room experiences I have had in a while.
Great puzzle flow and just the right amount of challenging.
Everything was well themed and some of the special effects were above and beyond expectation.
Our GM Jordan made sure we all had a great experience.
Yes
This was a very tech heavy, horror themed room with some theatrical elements I have not seen before. Although it's not the most original concept or story, I think it deserves special attention for it's use of effects.
Typical haunted hotel story. However, the way the story unfolds is impressive in my opinion.
Medium
Mostly straight forward puzzles with a few twist here and there.
High tech
Very few locks and keys. Love the special effects.

4 would be good but I would say 6 max due to one part being a small room. There are times where the puzzles bottleneck a little.
Scary
If you're easily scared this room will get you several times. Personally jump scare rarely get me but others in my group Def jumped and screamed a few times.

Some adult themes and horror components. Gory props and dimly lit rooms with spooky sounds effects.

Meh… Somewhere in between with this room. It was totally immersive, and had some great ideas. Props however weren’t working and you had to manually open things that should have been automatic once a puzzle was completed correctly. Once these small hiccups are fixed this room will be great.
