A power-mad cult leader. A bone-chilling curse. Break the cycle before midnight or face death yourself! The deranged minister of Crickley Church decided to kill his entire congregation after their confessions convinced his twisted mind that they had, among themselves, committed the 7 Deadly Sins. After inciting a curse on the children playing in the rooms beneath the church he buries himself alive in the church’s hidden crypt, while promising to haunt the church forevermore. Now it’s up to you to locate the hidden crypt, find the dagger, and drive it through the heart of the evil minister before time runs out. Then, and only then, you will be saved and destroy the curse forever.

Great escape room! There was one puzzle in particular that stumped us for a while but it was an error on our part and once we realized, we breezed right on. The room is not linear so things will be a little all over the place but over all very fun! We enjoy the games that have you guessing a bit more. More of an eerie vibe and not too spooky.

Wanted to like this room, the atmosphere and set up was really cool. But the puzzles made it completely unenjoyable due to them being overly complicated. There was nothing to connect clues to their corresponding puzzles, so you just had to guess (our GM even said that at the end - he called it "trial and error" 🙄). It was also so dark we couldn't hardly see anything, and when we said that to the GM at the end he replied, "Oops, you were supposed to have a flashlight." So make sure to check that you have a flashlight!

Nearly caused a break up with my partner. This was the first time we weren't able to escape. Puzzles were just guessed and didn't connect at all and were not creative or fun. Not scary at all. Theme doesn't match the puzzles. This game felt like I had to know an inside joke to get it.

This was a really fun and challenging room. I thought it was even more difficult than Murder on the Orient Express, despite being rated slightly lower in difficulty by Escapeology. I would recommend this room for experienced escape room enthusiasts who want the most challenging room they can find. We even needed a couple hints, which is pretty rare for us! I am honestly on the fence about whether I would call a couple of the puzzles too non-intuitive to be solved without guessing from multiple possible solutions… which perhaps isn’t the best way to make something difficult. For that reason I am really torn between giving this room a ❤️ and a 👍🏼. But I guess when I am in doubt I defer to a 👍🏼. I would not recommend this room for beginners because of difficulty.
I enjoyed the different puzzles we experienced here and how challenging some of them were.
The rooms were small, but the set design was great!

This story was very well done, even compared to all the other scary escape room themes out there.

We required hints and there were a couple puzzles we would not have figured out without them.

It was a great challenge for two of us, who are very experienced players. But for a regular group I’d say add a couple more people.

I’d only recommend bringing a child to this room who enjoys horror movies and this sort of thing, as it could be scary for others.

I thought this was fully accessible, although a wheelchair would be tough to maneuver around in this tight space.

Located in the mall on the 2nd/top floor, across from the Regal Cinemas movie theater.
Limited
Depends on when you go. I’d recommend parking as close to the mall entrance by the Regal Cinemas movie theater as you can.

Faulty technology, multiple unintuitive puzzles, poor connection to the room theme - same concerns as previous reviewers. Would not recommend.

Overall, it was disappointing and upsetting. I would never recommend this escape room with all the issues I encountered in the room. First off, I personally found the puzzles to not be intuitive and hard to figure out. That’s just the least of my problems with this room. Two puzzles didn’t trigger right away, which sucks because it was a linear room, so we were stuck waiting, confused, and wasting time because of a technical error. TWICE. This location is relatively new and already there are so many issues. Additionally, at one point using two finger strength didn’t open a puzzle we needed to complete, so that slowed us down. Lastly, when we pulled on part of a puzzle (with two finger strength) it BROKE. The staff was quick to fix it, but apparently it was the SECOND time this has happened. And at the end, I don’t even think we got a sorry or any form of compensation. Unless this room has major updates, I suggest saving your money on a room that actually functions. With the high price tag, I expected at least a functional room.
Half of the puzzles weren’t intuitive and could’ve flown better.
Hard
Had to ask for a clue every other puzzle.
Mechanical
Lots of locks and 2 machines failed to activate right away.

One puzzle didn’t open u less we forced the lock beyond a 2 finger strength. Two puzzles didn’t activate right away. Both took awhile to activate, leaving us confused and wasting time since everything was linear. A whole puzzle broke when we touched it with finger strength. Staff came in to fix it right away, but it was upsetting dealing with so many issues.
