A smaller room with a moderate amount of easy-medium, linear puzzles suitable for a party of 3-4 (totally doable with 2 players if experienced). The room design/setting was pretty nice, although there was not much of theming or back story. (The pre-apocalypse back story did not translate into the puzzles/flow). The puzzles were overall fun and of good variety, maybe just one of them would take slightly more effort to crack. This room is easier, less busy, and more mechanical/older than Carbon 3708 (the other room in this location). Experienced players might not find it to be too stimulating, but our friends who were doing escape room for the first time had a great time. Would highly recommend for beginners!

This game was frustratingly close to being great but it’s just a soulless, good room. It’s fine. The game started on time and the staff was nice enough. We were led into a 300 sq ft room decorated to look like a bunker: wood walls pained grey with electromagnetic boxes lining the walls. It was good enough. The issue was with the theming. We had to endure a voiceover explaining how zombies took over or something. That was the last of the theme. From then on we plugged things into things, spun wheels, matched symbols but to what end? It would take two seconds to add some context explaining how we’re synthesizing a cure. “Spin the wheel to align the genome. Mix the cure ingredients. Boot up the sequencing computer.” Give us anything. I have a suspicion that the developers originally planned context but either years passed and props broke management had a falling out. Either way, it totally sapped the fun out of the game. Other than that though, it was above average. No dumb puzzles, no clues needed, extremely anticlimactic ending.
No traditional locks so that was great. Puzzles were very intuitive but I don’t think they were necessarily fun. You complete a puzzle, a door pops open. You do another puzzle. Another door pops open. I love how linear and straightforward everything was, but I never felt excited about doing a puzzle.
Good set design, horrible story. Whoever built this stopped 90% through. There’s a zombie outbreak and I think we’re synthesizing a cure but you wouldn’t know it. It’s just busy work that lacks a theme. The set is pretty but they really dropped the ball with why we’re doing what we’re doing.
Professional, cold, efficient. The New York way.

A good room from a new-to-me company. A fairly typical post-apocolyspe/sci-fi game. A very good time :).
Novel. Pretty classic puzzles. One dexterity puzzle was a hair frustrating
Well executed. The environment was immersive.
The GM on duty let me walk in as a solo (much appreciated) on a random Friday. Excellent.

The story was a bit light, but the stakes were properly set.

This could be marked “Easy” for experienced players. I completed this alone no problem.

Lots of good lighting and special effects.

Spooky
Due to some lighting and loud noises.

Mission escape is the best company after escape game i would say. This room is great, nice flow, good puzzles, multiple rooms. 9/10

It’s the end of the world as we know it, but I wouldn’t want to be trapped in this drab bunker if it were. That’s not a slam at the overall design, because it’s 100% meant to look like a worn-down shelter in the apocalypse. It just wasn’t for me. The puzzles were very creative and ingenious, requiring multiple interactions with items and buttons. There were a few puzzles I didn’t have fun doing though, but I won’t elaborate and spoil them. Our game master was great and helped us along when we had difficulties including one that could potentially be a lose condition, so thank you GM! Finally, the story felt a bit lacking because although they said you needed to find a solution for the end of the world, it was unclear what was happening outside the bunker or why it was happening. It was just the standard you have one hour to escape, gooooo. A shame because the actual sound and lighting effects are great for this. For reference, we did the B version, which I think is a smaller version designed for smaller groups (we had a team of 2). But otherwise, the 2 versions are supposed to be identical.

This room is a real puzzlefest (which is right up my alley). It is very linear: a team of 2 would be best but 3-4 can fit in the space as long as you’re okay with not being hands-on with every puzzle. There is a story but it’s not much. For some reason you need to synthesize a new element and this will save the world. How it will save the world, eh, well, who needs the details. Just solve the puzzles, they are fun and there is a good variety of puzzle types. The set has a sort of steampunk lab on a train vibe to it but I am not really sure what it is supposed to be. It looks nice though. The room does rely a bit too much on “we solved the puzzle and heard something pop open somewhere else but we didn’t see where” but the space isn’t that big. Overall, we had fun, but it isn’t an especially difficult room. I would say for newer groups, play the Hyde room first, as it is easier, and then this room would be a good (but not massive) increase in difficulty. If you’re good at puzzles, just go enjoy the puzzles and be prepared to finish a bit early. You’ll still have fun.

There is one dexterity puzzle but I am pretty bad at those and I was able to do it after a few tries.
The space appeared to be accessible overall. One puzzle is conveyed only using audio clues (match the sounds, basically). One puzzle requires someone to get down at floor level and manipulate something using one of those fume hood style setups with two big gloves that you reach your arms into.

I loved my experiences at Mission Escape Games at Anaheim so I was looking forward to this one! It was fun, and the scenery was as detailed as the other rooms at Mission Escape Games. I was suprised my team and I finished so quickly; I wish we hadn't used that one hint we did since we would have had plenty of time grrr! I can't wait to try more rooms!

That I'm aware of! My friends and I walked to this escape room, but I imagine parking would be tricky as expected in NYC!

Pretty linear with solid puzzles. The overall theme is a little lacking, if that’s your thing. Still very enjoyable for the puzzles alone.

This room has some great puzzles in this doomsday themed room. The narrative was a lot of fun as well. There was one puzzle we got stuck on for a long time,(an audio puzzle), which is a real grind if you are not great at recognising sounds. Production quality was high, would recommend.
