Wife and I enjoyed the room. Not really an escape but more of a treasure hunt kinda room. For the two of us, we felt we weren’t on our A game. Kinda felt we were a bit scatterbrained. Not the rooms fault, maybe a bit of jet lag from the flight over. Had to use a few hints to complete the room on time. Puzzles were fun though and we had a really good experience. Our GM was very friendly and we did have a number of laughs throughout our time here. One of the affordable rooms out here in Oahu and I would recommend if looking for something to do while in town. Very family friendly with a good use of your brain power.

Kinda hidden. Upper floor of the building. You can see the sign from the street but can easily drive by it so keep an eye out for the place.

520 escape rooms

Oishii! A fun sushi restaurant themed room that is more focused on high score than escape. The goal is to collect as many Shoyu Packets (soy sauce) as possible in 50 minutes. There are a few puzzles, like probably only a handful of 2. You obtain the rest of them through light scavenger hunt, minigames, and ongoing trivia questions. There are many trivia questions, and unless you’re a Jeopardy! champion, you probably won’t get every single one. Either way, it’s padding, albeit fun padding. It helps to have more people for trivia knowledge, but there probably won’t be enough puzzles to satiate large groups. I enjoyed the sushi theme, Japanese music, puzzles where my knowledge of certain things helped, and the collection nature of the room. This room was pretty new when we visited Hawaii, though it’s also a revamped version of a room and location that had closed down. The GM told us that the theme may change in a few months. It’s a small room and the decorations, while cute, are sparse, so I can see them being to replace it easily. Kobe’s Sushi Co. is not gonna be what most people are looking for in an escape room. But if you don’t mind a laid-back soy sauce hunt, I’d recommend hanging loose and rolling into Room With a Clue!
