Your tropical vacation takes a dramatic turn when a sudden, violent storm hits, tearing your tour boat to shreds and leaving you and your friends washed up on the shore of a desolate island. A lone shack stands in the distance, your only potential refuge as the storm grows more ferocious by the minute. The island is quickly sinking beneath the rising waters—you have just one hour to find your way to safety before the storm engulfs everything in its path. The clock is ticking—will you escape, or be swept away by the tempest?

Excellent room, in the top 5% of all the rooms we have played. Excellent lighting, puzzle design, and a good challenge without getting frustrating. Highly recommend this room, it is a lot of fun, very well designed and a great atmosphere

Very fun and immersive! Our group of 6, all with escape room experience, escaped with about 15 min to spare and used 1 clue. Owner is superb. Cannot wait to go back for other rooms!
Great immersion!

This was a pretty polished ground up redesign of an older game I had done a long time ago. The atmosphere is pretty good and immersive, and the puzzles are mostly intuitive even if one or two felt too simple. The technology was impressive because I was not expecting certain actions to actually result in things opening or changing, though I felt like it was so fine tuned to following instructions that when we were trying to take a shortcut at the end, it wouldn't work. It was our fault for not taking our time though. A fun option and nice to see this location come back!

Great island getaway for a 3-hour tour (or in this case, a 1-hour adventure)! A little history first: We 1st played at Challenge Accepted at its old location in the now abandoned Stratford Square mall (RIP) in Bloomingdale. The owner of the newer, better rooms there brought the business to the Promenade in Bolingbrook, replacing the now defunct One Hour Escape facility. This single room blows the older rooms from Bloomingdale out of the water and is also a significant improvement over the One Hour Escape rooms, specifically the horsecrap High Noon room which Shipwreck Island now inhabits. Shipwreck Island utilizes cleverly placed lighting and quality props to create a mood and help players find things. We’re not the best at finding hidden objects, but we eventually got there. The puzzles themselves are solid and thematic, particularly the final one, which made us feel like we were in the finale of Gilligan’s Island. There are a lot of puzzles, and a lot to do for smaller groups like our 2-person team. While we aren’t always the biggest fan of many locks in one spot, they are at least clearly marked. We rarely had an issue identifying locks, and smart clues ensured that we were on the right track. It’s a good mix of analog locks and more modern tech that led to exciting moments. Having done the room that used to be here under old management, I was impressed with how they rebuilt an old set and made it its own cabana! The owner, who is really friendly, also showed us around and talked with us after we escaped. I highly recommend this room, and am excited for what’s to come here! Come castaways and get shipwrecked buoy!
