I went in with relatively high expectations for waters edge, having been let down by the previous 3 mazes we’d done (Ultimate Gamble, Delirium, Farm 51) but by some unfortunate miracle this was my least favourite maze of the 35 I experienced 2024. My main gripe with this and the rest of Seaworld’s haunted attractions is the clear lack of training displayed by the cast. The actors inside just stood around, trying to be intimidating without giving the guest a reason to be scared. The set itself was cheap and cheerful, with some very empty feeling scenes. The creative direction was all over the shop, with a random zombie/vampire masked character towards the end that was clearly out of place. It’s a harmless spooky walkthrough at best, and at worst it’s a 45 minute cattle pen queue leading to a lacklustre attraction with no clear story or direction.
