Potion Masters Apprentice

this was a cute room! the story made sense, and puzzle solving was satisfying. i played as a group of 2 and we didn’t struggle too much. i enjoyed the room flow and immersion factors, as i usually do with checkmate.

Recommend! There were so many positive things about this escape room. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly and enthusiastic employees. We could tell they really cared about escape rooms and worked hard to give us the best experience. The intro to the room was fun and exciting. Inside the room were a lot of different types of puzzles and you needed lots of techniques to solve them. There were some that I had never seen before which made it a ton of fun. They all fit with the theme. You had to keep a quick pace for two people but it was very doable.

10/10, such a fun and cute experience! can’t wait to come back and play the other rooms!!

Holy cow this place is AH-MAZE-ING. This is my first trip to Checkmate and I was blown away. We've hit most of central and Western Florida escape rooms and this sits up there with Exit, Dare, Venture and Artists for all round awesome rooms. I cannot rave about this place enough and this room was just chefs-kiss-good. (Apprentice) The flow was fantastic, the immersion was top notch, the puzzles matched to the story, the variety of puzzles and challenge were perfectly balanced. The ambience that was created was one we just stopped to take in for a few minutes (the music was so good throughout the room) Yes this place is that good. What also sets it apart is the surrounding area. Lots to do near by and could easily hang out there all day. The kicker is the staff. Just outstanding. Personable, warm, welcoming -- fantastic spot. Cannot wait to return for another round of rooms. A note to the owner; you have a fantastic staff. They turned a really fun experience into a completely memorable one (also please make merch) Tidbits: Super easy parking Plenty of food options right next door; really cool outdoor mall with lots of food options. Gas station close by

The game master was so good and we enjoyed the puzzles and atmosphere of the room!

Another fun room at Checkmate Land O'Lakes. Unique puzzles with good flow and require thought. Absolutely love Zac and Shad!

This escape room has a good mix of theme and puzzles. There are some moments of oh yeah in there, but nothing overly complex. It's definitely worth playing and it's a great location.

This was an ok room - compared to the others at this location it was underwhelming. The theming was immersive, the puzzles were ok (some leaps of logic needed).

Really fun, though I felt like it was a bit easy, however we did have 6 players , and 4 of us work at escape rooms. Really fun though! The set was really nice.

This room was so beautifully put together. It had some really wonderful puzzles, everything flowed nicely, and it was a lot of fun! Zach was our GM and he was absolutely amazing as always. We love him and the entire checkmate family! ❤️
