The Temple of Lost Gold

Before the game was built, I was told it would be emblematic of the TV show Legends of the Hidden Temple, but besides name and beginning set-pieces, I didn’t hugely get that comparison. The Temple of Lost Gold has fun ideas and room themes well-integrated into itself and would be good for all ages. It is its own thing and that’s not a bad thing… I’d say its biggest detriment is how similar it felts to Maze Rooms Pharaoh’s Tomb at another location.

This room makes you feel like you’re in the set of an Indiana Jones movie. The set is ambitious and the puzzles were thematic. They had some puzzles that forced collaboration, which I appreciate - and they used the space to do so. However, with the amount of space that they had, I keep wanting there to be more puzzles within each room! The ending felt lackluster also and my group ended up bypassing one of the magnets by accident. Overall, still a very good game, a fun time, and I’m so impressed with their production that I’d love to come back and try out the other rooms. Parking can be quite difficult in this area so I would allot plenty of time to find the rooms and get situated.

This room broke so badly the GM had to come in and reset the entire thing, which took nearly 15 minutes.

Was wide eyed for most of this experience. So cool and really good tech integration. Amazing set pieces

We had a fun experience, but there were a few instances that were a bit bumpy. One of the puzzles wasn’t working and the game master didn’t notice until we asked him for a hint since we didn’t know what else to do. He gave us an arbitrary amount of time back on the clock. Then at the end, there is a second way you can fail the room that wasn’t clear to us and the game master had to explain that we lost even though the time hadn’t run out yet. The set is really interesting and complex though!

We love Maze rooms and this one was designed beautifully, but sadly the game was so broken and so many technical issues it was not fun and lost all the allure. The game masters should have reset it before letting us continue. It was broken from the jump and not properly set up at all. Very disappointing

This room felt like it was going to be short and then turned into so much more! I could see why people would run out of time assuming it was nearly over when it's not. The puzzles were challenging enough that it took some problem solving to work out. It's a linear room, so smaller numbers are better in it. But it felt so immersive and just kept getting cooler. The ending is so worth it, too.
