223 escape rooms

Rounded off the Odyssey campaign with The Ministry of Magic’s Conspiracy and at this point I didn’t really know what to expect going in. The utilisation of Harry Potter as a drawing point is quite common in which the room implemented pretty well for the first 15/20 minutes, with a nice flow of puzzles, logical solves and helpful signposting. Sadly this went off the rails very quickly as we entered the third room and were met with more of the same randomness and confusing story beats that we’d seen in previous Odyssey rooms. I will say I was impressed by the sheer number of rooms that managed to unfold working through the space, it just seemed to keep going for better and for worse. Overall this has the potential to be the strongest offering at the venue but is bogged down by strange and unnecessary inclusions which make the whole thing feel tiresome. Far from my favourite.

194 escape rooms

Probably the best of the rooms here but not by much. The set up itself was okay with a decently decorated space and some alright interaction. Unfortunately just a lot of baffling leaps in logic with some very weird aspects. A really incoherent storyline and a bunch of barely together tech, I have no idea what half of the things we completed actually did. Strange stuff.

The first 10 minutes of this room was acceptable, with simple and underwhelming puzzles. It went downhill from there. The remainder of the experience was profoundly disappointing, with illogical puzzles that had seemingly random solutions and lack of any coherent storyline. Although we manage to finish the room, The technology rarely functioned properly and if it did, it was unclear what its purpose was.
