Intrigue sponsored an expedition to cross the Arctic Circle in 1967, yet nobody returned alive. Our own professor Jakob Mayes seemingly developed an obsession with an old book purporting a magical island far to the north, and he may have led them astray in his quest. Yet, oddly enough, many of their possessions have been returned and are now on display. Get to the bottom of what happened to the six people who left that fateful day, learn their story, discover if there were any survivors, and most importantly, find out what happened to one of the rarest books in history, the same one that drove Professor Mayes to madness: The Inventio Fortunata.

Overall, a little more challenging than other rooms at Intrigue with some fun puzzles. However, we are still not huge fans of the open floor plan concept escape room and the staff interaction was "too helpful" in this game. We received "clues" in this game that not only weren't helpful, but they were a distraction because we were someplace the staff didn't realize we were. The path to the solution is somewhat repetitive, but the varying puzzles to get there were innovative and engaging, with the exception of one puzzle solution just being handed to us (as if the designer had run out of puzzles). The conclusion to the puzzle was a surprise but the "help" we were getting pushed us to that point a little too quickly. The staff, as always, was very welcoming and readily available, and we will be back to scratch the escape room itch since we've played every other escape room in Little Rock that we can.

This one the story was kinda confusing for me, the puzzles were fun, but the story was kind of a miss. The ending was fun but the whole time I wasn't invested or immersed like other escape rooms or even other stories at this location.

Wasn’t a huge fun of this “style” of escape room. The “game masters” hovered too much and pointed out the answers to the clues and didn’t make it much fun. The concept is neat but wasn’t what I expected when I was invited to do an escape room. It’s essentially several rooms, all themed differently with each area containing clues across multiple games.
