This room felt most worthwhile out of the three, but still too short. Wish each of these mini series were longer. 35 minutes feels way too short.

It’s unfair to judge this experience as an escape room experience because escape room this is not. And they make it clear it’s not. It is an immersive action adventure with manual physical puzzles unlocking progressive rooms. I tried the combo package of all three games after reading some positive reviews, and for me I left feeling disappointed and wishing I spent that money on another escape room instead. With all that said, Drago’s castle is the best room out of the three. Puzzles were cute and the theatrics were impressive. If you enjoy immersive entertainment in general, 5 wits is worth a shot and I would say if you’re an escape room enthusiast this is the only room I could genuinely recommend. Just keep in mind that this is still “escape rooms lite” and if you can’t solve the puzzles fast enough they’ll start solving it for you slowly.

I did this room years ago when I was first getting into escape rooms. This is a great starter escape room for people just starting! It’s aimed more towards families and kids but was still fun, the clues and puzzles were great and the set design and immersion of these escape rooms is top tier. Definitely loved 5 wits!

This game requires 3 people, regardless of what the website says. We ran into a couple of broken items as well,

Easily the most immersive room at this location for me. It really felt like a storybook coming to life. The beginning "cutscene" was so charming and impressive.

5 Wits Nyack in General: this company makes a big deal out of making sure you know this is “not” an escape room. But I actually think they do themselves a disservice that way! I’m a very avid escape room escaper, and I was VERY taken by 5 Wits! The immersive nature of each themed adventure here is extremely high quality and well done. This approaches Disney theme park quality, and that of my favorite escape room company: The Escape Game. The staff is great and I appreciate the reveals in each adventure as well as their cute intros, and that you get a score at the end (which for me helps keep it competitive even though you always technically “escape”) This room: Of the three rooms here, this was the most “active.” The first puzzle involved a maneuver with a key on a chain that reminded me a lot of a challenge on Survivor. There is also a tunnel to crawl through to be aware of (but you do have the option to work around it). I don’t want to spoil anything, but this was the CUTEST intro video. Also if you have easily scared young adventurers, do be aware the final bit can be scary. Puzzle wise, id call this the weakest of the three I did, but only because the nature of the puzzles gave me too many cooks in the kitchen vibes. Sure it’s not an “escape room,” but I loved it

The immersion factor at 5 Wits really is like no other escape room you will find. They put everything into making you feel like you are truly part of the room. That being said, this is an escape room that it seems as if they are trying to allow to be accessible for kids and the puzzles do reflect that. It’s a trade off - amazing immersion, puzzles are a little less challenging.

Great for families with kids, but not people looking for a challenge. While 5 Wits is easy in general and not truly an escape room, Drago’s Castle seemed the easiest to me with lots of pre-recorded hints and simple puzzles.
