House in the Woods

This was a fun room and super cute. This place lets you choose difficulty levels which is nice. The highest setting for this room is "Standard" Even though this room is relatively basic, there are definitely some red herrings in there to trip you up! There is 1 clue somewhere you normally wouldn't touch. There is also a small raised area between the rooms that we tripped over repeatedly. I didn't really see a reason for it to be there and they may want to look into alternatives for liability sake. All in all, fun room that I would recommend.

This was an adorable room that I think would be a great experience for beginners or who have young kids in their group. The setting is the witch's candy house from Hansel and Gretel and it is absolutely adorable. The decorations are a nice touch but beware of overthinking puzzles and trying to assume the decorations are clues for the puzzles. Just enjoy the decor and focus on what is needed for the lock. The puzzles were a nice combo of brain teasers and fun riddles. The only quibble I have for the room is a hidden key later in the room that is hidden in something that seems that it is a practical part of the room and wouldn't normally be touched. Granted, there is a note on the wall that hints towards it but it's discovered using something from an earlier puzzle. I usually find most items are used for one puzzle and then it's done. We assumed and we know what it means to assume. Overall, I loved the room and thought a lot of love went in to it's creation.

A pretty basic escape room. Not much story, but was fun and kid-friendly.

This room was nominated back in 2022 and it totally shows why. The atmosphere here is so fantastic, the puzzles are so much fun and it just oozes character. From the moment we walked in, my group was just so excited to dig into everything around us, and the twist surprise in the second half of the room was unpexcted and everything we could've hoped for. What a great time.

This escape room allows for a difficulty setting which is not something a lot of escape rooms offer so it can be for the experienced players or it can for brand new players. The décor of the room is great and makes you feel you are in this house. The story is not the most original but that did not detract from this room. We ended up getting an easier version of this room and flew through it which had made me want to go back and try again on a higher difficulty.

This was my 50th escape room and John and Lara were incredibly awesome by sneaking a surprise in for me! They are really great and accommodating room owners! They were so fun to talk to and I’m really happy my 50th was with them. The room itself was very cute. The clues flowed really well and was a lot of fun!
