Ghost Hunter Brandon Darkmoor: The Strange Case of the African Idol by Salzufer Unterwelt was the standout experience of our entire escape room tour—rivaled only by Kuriosum from Escape Room Witten.
From start to finish, this room nails the balance between spooky and playful, with a clear and clever Ghostbusters-inspired twist throughout. The atmosphere, lighting, sound effects, puzzles, and narrative all come together in an incredibly cohesive and immersive way.
The hint system deserves a special mention—it’s one of the most original and in-universe implementations I have encountered. Every part of the experience felt meticulously crafted and packed with charm.
The final photo moment adds the perfect finishing touch to an already unforgettable adventure.
A must-play for escape room fans of all levels—especially if you enjoy a spooky story with a humorous side. This one delivers on all fronts.
