Quite possibly the most nonlinear escape room I’ve done - there was always something for everyone to do, and the theme was really original and fun. I would recommend this room for sure

First time playing a Decode Detroit game, and it was amazing, definitely going to come a back and play the rest of the rooms! With a team of 7 we were super busy the entire game with plenty of puzzles to solve and being able to jump around between puzzles to whichever was best for everyone's strengths. Very logic/math puzzle heavy, lots of tech (not many code input/key locks), super cool atmosphere and decorations. Our gamemaster Alex was great, super good intro and worldbuilding and then went through some of the puzzles with us which was great! This was the most fun and whimsy I've had in a while, I can't wait to be back in town to play the other rooms !!!

The Mezzanine is not your typical experience, much like the other escape rooms at this company. Instead of having to solve a series of puzzles to escape, the room basically throws everything and the kitchen sink at you in terms of puzzles. You don’t have to solve every puzzle. The room just kind of pushes you from room to room. The puzzles are great, though as I have realized from this location, skew towards logic and math. They’re some of my favorite kinds of puzzles, but if you weren’t good at those or just plain don’t like it, this isn’t for you. Also, some puzzles are insanely difficult. But of course, many of them are optional. Luckily, you kind of just get to choose your items and the game will lead the way for you. We literally got completely confused during one of the major rooms and ignored the main puzzle until the very end. Part of it was that we had no idea what was going on, but we were still able to finish. But that example is proof positive that you can bumble your way through the room and escape. There are even more bonus puzzles if that strikes your fancy, but you will have to be outside for those so plan accordingly for weather. This is a superb company to just bring a big group and puzz out! Just have fun and don’t get lost!

I did this room with my group of game masters from another escape room business, and needless to say we were all incredibly impressed by the story, special effects, and acting by our host. This room is really cool and very challenging! Hoping to come back soon and try their other room.
