This is one of my favorite rooms so far! The story is so sweet and whimsical. This is the first room I've done with a live actor, and they were great! I lived the theme and the puzzles.

Best escape experience we have done so far! Extremely immersive and interactive. The set design was incredible, and the live actor/GM enhanced the story. The puzzles flowed seamlessly and we were rarely unsure of what we needed to do next. Would love to try another escape room here!

I think this game suits well for a child to perform the actions after adults solve a puzzle.

This is exactly what an escape room should be! Itβs a disservice to this experience to just call it an escape room. It is an immersive puzzle experience. The puzzles were fun, unique, tactile, on theme, encouraged teamwork, varied in complexity, and advanced the storyline. Everything felt so on theme in the story world and it was easy to become very immersed. And you will have to be because the players felt like active participants in the story, not just like viewers of it. The story was intertwined with every last inch of the set and every puzzle, for the whole time. The actor elevated the experience, and did a great job. The set was gorgeous and expansive. There were always new surprises throughout the room, of varying levels. 75 minutes allowed you to fully enjoy the experience and not feel rushed between the scene changes and actor interactions. The puzzles were very approachable for anyone as even though there were a lot of them, none of them were particularly challenging. CU Adventures in Time and Space has another banger on their hands!

This is one of my favorite experiences, and IMHO the best one (currently) at CU Adventures. Game Night and Rise of the Icarus both being contenders for the title, but the scope and fun interactions and set all made Forest of Fables stand out. Puzzles are well integrated into the set and story. Gameplay is pretty linear, so even though the space supports a large group, I think it's better to play with a small group. It's not an issue as long as people are OK with observing more than playing, and to be fair, there's a lot to see and take in -- the set is gorgeous and expansive. The GM actor was an important part of the game, and it would not have worked nearly as well without her performance.

The Forest of Fables is a perfect slice of a classic storybook adventure. Varied and numerous puzzles that make narrative sense, a gorgeous set, clean reveals and story beats that had us all smiling make this game the clear winner of the trip. Very, very much recommend. A pinnacle of immersive entertainment to be held in the highest of regards.
Great, varied puzzles, fun progression, vibrant story beats.
The best storybook game Iβve played or ever hope to play

If you are anywhere near the area, this is a must do room. Itβs kid friendly but not for kids. The puzzles arenβt super difficult but itβs all very fun. The narrator was amazing, an amazing actor for the experience.

Wowza! Some games have wow moments. The Forest of Fables has wowza moments! This game is a phenomenal example of storytelling through an escape room. Once upon a time, your adventure is narrated by your GM, a live actor who tells your tale with enthusiasm and elegance. I wonβt spoil what happens, but I was blown away by the story progression, the magic I witnessed, and the surprises in store. I love fantasy fairy tales, and this room writes the book on how to achieve the genre in escape rooms! The time limit is 75 minutes to account for the real-time narrator, but veteran escape artists will likely get through it much quicker. I adored this room so much, and Iβd love to say much more, but you have to see it for yourself! The Forest of Fables flips the script on what escape rooms can do, and I am so much happily ever after for experiencing it!

Forest of Fables is one of those games that has a certain kind of magicβ¦ you can feel the intention and love behind the game. The set had charm and whimsy and craft. Familiar fables took unexpected turns, and kept us surprised and delighted. The puzzles were charming and logical and drove the story forward. The in room actor was fun, funny, and completely in sync with the theme. Finally, the overarching narrative felt like it had stakes, we wanted to succeed, not just for us, but also for (redacted). We played as a duo and made it out thanks to our game master who, late on a Friday night, was kind enough to let us go beyond our time. (She never said that, but when we checked the time when we left, it was obvious.). It is possible to do with two, but we clearly would have benefitted from a third. We didnβt hang up on any puzzles, but did spend a bit too long, occasionally, solving together. This was our first game at CUAdventures escape room, and itβs easy to see why people travel from all over the country to play here (including us, we came from Nevada).
