The Forest of Fables

This room was really a highlight for us! The live actor really made the story and I love how she was integrated in, it truly felt like you were entering the storybook. I loved how each story changed and gave you an artifact. My favorite part was Humpty Dumpty falling. Got quite the laugh out of me. The “twist” was also really interesting and the room had a very satisfying ending. If you’re headed to CU Adventures (and man, are you in for a treat), I’d definitely recommend Forest of Fables!

Rating: 5/5 - Peak narrative gameplay, one of my all time favorites Here's why this room is fantastic: ➕Beautiful and fully immersive set, everything you see or touch adds to the experience (no timer screens or anything that doesn't fit the theme). ➕Multiple rooms to explore, set feels expansive and larger than it actually is. ➕Narrative driven gameplay, moreso than 95% of the games out there. The story goes to unexpected places and is incredibly unique. ➕The actor/GM was friendly, talented, and added so much depth. ➕Tons of tech, it was seamlessly integrated, only 1-2 padlocks. ➕Very tactile with many custom props to interact with. ➕Many fun little surprises, details, and magical moments that made me smile. ➕Puzzles were fun, promoted teamwork and communication, and all fit the theme.. ➕Lighting and sound all add so much to the experience. ➕Super satisfying ending ➕It excels at all aspects with no weaknesses, I could not nitpick even if I wanted to. I played this as my 200th room and it's easily in my top 5, this room is absolutely special. We played as a team of 6 and it was a bit crowded as there are some tighter spaces, I'd recommend 4 enthusiasts. I love all of CU Adventure's rooms, my ranking starting with my favorite: 1. We loved this room. Our friends had their 4 year old with them and the narrator did an amazing job involving her. It’s a wonderful story and such an amazing set. Well done!

Where do I even begin? An emotional story, awesome live acting, INCREDIBLE set design, in-theme puzzles, the list goes on and on. I brought a few friends who have done 15-20 rooms and while we were playing the comments were, “wow I love this already” (as they had just entered the room). “This is my favorite game that I’ve ever done”. “I would like to just sit and hangout/study here”. There were aspects to the room I’ve never experienced in rooms before from puzzles to mechanics. The characters were all personable. What an experience. What an adventure. I was sad that it ended when it did and wish it was 20 hours long. They gave us a backstage behind the scenes tour of the room and it is incredibly complicated. This is my personal #1 room of 7 at CU Adventures. Everyone should play this game. I guarantee that you’ll get someone hooked on escape rooms if this is the first game they ever play.

So much fun! Our GM was amazing. The puzzles moved the story along and had great signposting. Highly recommend. We had 5. I think 2 people could do it. There was plenty to do for 5 people though. 3-4 is probably ideal.

I have never experienced a room quite like this, in the most positive way possible. It was fantastic and made me feel as if I truly were a protagonist in the story. Sometimes GM interaction can feel cringy and forced, not with this!! CU adventures in Time and Space did a wonderful job with this room, I’d play it again!

This is my new favorite room!!! It was so good and so many good “ah ha” moments! We saved it to be my 100 room on purpose and it was better than I ever thought it would be!!!

Such a fun and imaginative room. The decor and story we're phenomenal. There were so many twists and turns that kept us guessing and always in awe.

This is one of my favorite rooms so far! The story is so sweet and whimsical. This is the first room I've done with a live actor, and they were great! I lived the theme and the puzzles.

Possibly the best escape room I have ever played!! The room design/decor was awe-inspiring and super interactive, and the storyline was unique and engaging! I have already recommended this room to friends, family, and some strangers!
