Ghost Town was a standout room, not just in the Lexington area, but amongst all of the rooms I’ve completed. An easy love! The theming was really fun, everything felt very Wild West. We had a bit of a challenge figuring out where to start, but once we did, it was pretty go-go-go. Puzzles I thought stood out for the good: wagon (loved how we had to show the answers), gun (so fun!), drinks/blackjack, dancing. Puzzle I thought could use some work: the only one that I thought was kind of useless was the coffin locks. A lot of the codes were just written on items. Probably nice for kids who play, but did find as enthusiasts it wasn’t thought provoking. The ending was fantastic and a standout part of an already incredible room. Our group of five enthusiasts finished with about 20 minutes left and we saw the group before us finish with 12 minutes left, so it could have been longer/more puzzles, but I understand with the ending reveal, they probably want to ensure most people do get that finishing scene.
Kalli was the main person introducing us to the rooms, but everyone at Countdown was great!

Had a bit of a tough time figuring out where to start, but many of the clues were easy to figure out.

We played with five enthusiasts and thought that was appropriate. The ending sequence didn’t have a ton of room, so probably wouldn’t recommend more than 6 people for everyone to get the full effect.

I think kids will love the final reveal and one set of locks was just finding a code, no puzzle involved, which could be fun/easy for kids to contribute.

There are stairs to get to the room before you even enter, one part with stairs that only 1 person really needs to go, and the final sequence has a step up.
I’d reach out to countdown if mobility / climbing stairs is difficult for you. Hearing loss might also be something I’d talk to Countdown about, as the gun puzzle requires you to hear to know if you’ve placed everything correctly.

Rating 4.5/5 - My favorite at Countdown with a fantastic, climactic ending Here's why I loved this room: -That ending, WOW, one of them most exciting and unique experiences I've had in an escape room even after 150+ rooms -Puzzles were very fun and felt appropriate to the wild west setting -A lot of interesting and unique tech that was made to fit the theme, only a few padlocks mixed in -Set was immersive and looked great -Multiple areas/rooms to explore -A lot of cool reveals and fun interactions -Friendly and helpful GM -This an absolute must-play, we drove 3 hours to play at Countdown and this room (and Mansion) made the trip worth it. I'd recommend 4 players, my team of 5 completed it with 20 minutes left, I wish the room was longer. At least one person will need to climb stairs and crawl. Yeehaw! This Ghost Town is Countdown Games’ newest game, and it’s a hoot and a holler! Great puzzles, masterful contraptions, and an epic finale to boot. I was very blown away by the ending. We beat it as a team of 2, but it’s definitely rough with the sheer amount of puzzles. Still a great time and one of the Best Western rooms I’ve been to. Made me wanna go YEEEHAWWWW!
