This was SO FUN! I loved the theme and I loved the puzzles! Seriously so memorable. The only thing is that with both the games I’ve played at this location, the GM has come on over the god mic to give unsolicited hints, especially if something opened that we didn’t notice right away. I didn’t mind it as much this time because I was playing with newbies but generally that’s a pet peeve of mine. Still awesome though! Our GM was super nice!

And it’s definitely worth doing pretty fun room. This 1 and Jumanji are my favorite at this location thus far. I like the 75 minute length of that feels fun that way, and even with that we almost didn’t finish in time.

This was really fun. I liked the 75 minute room to give us time but also it was a neat idea and I liked most of the puzzles. Two of the puzzles didn’t work or like allowed us to skip through one of them at the end and the game master had to come in and Set something up for us, which was fine. Two of us were very experienced and then one of us was New # and that worked fine. You definitely need three people for one of the puzzles and try not to waste too much time on one thing.

Lots of puzzles. The game master jet was great, and he had a very cute dog in the lobby. The only thing I didn't love was on that morning you really had to do one puzzle at a time, so there was a lot of time where one person was kind of standing around to wait for the next puzzle to be unlocked. But otherwise it was pretty fun.

Grandma’s master plan was fun and straightforward! Perfect for families or small groups! Nothing fancy or crazy but cute and had some fun original ideas. Our guide Conner was great!

The game was fun to play because everything in the room was innovative that you actually have to think outside the box in order to do some of its puzzles and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good time in one of the best escape rooms in Los Angeles.

Gameplay

The game was pretty straightforward that you will hardly miss any clues at all, as long as you play the game right.

I enjoyed this room with 2 other people. We felt it was enough for us as we are all pretty experienced. I liked that it was a 75 minute room which meant there was a lot things that needed to get done. We mostly worked as a team with a few moments that we needed to divide and conquer. A solid room for my taste. Our GMs were fantastic hosts for us. Definitely coming back to do the other rooms here.

6.8/10 I’m conflicted. This room is old and you seriously feel its age through the experience. Some puzzle pieces are hanging on for dear life in their last moments before they fall apart at your gentle touch. There are some really good puzzles in here! Unfortunately they are overshadowed by some annoying puzzles that they put into place. And I mean ANNOYING. The flow is decent, the story is cute, and the set design/production would have been amazing for a room that came out 6 years ago. Just like Grandma, this room’s best days are behind it. Maybe it’s time to retire, Grandma? You’ve done enough.

Grandma's Master Plan - Granny had left cryptic clues about our inheritance. If we wanted to cash in on the deal we had to discover Grandma's darkest secrets. Pros: The rooms at 60 Out vary quite a bit making it difficult to talk generally about them as a group. The set design on some of the rooms (Titanic for instance) is stellar and far exceeded our expectations. Others are more typical of middle-of-the-road escape rooms. The puzzles are all generally logical with some games being more physical than mental. Yet, all the rooms were enjoyable to play and the puzzles mostly solvable. We had a great experience with all of the game masters who monitored our progress closely and provided assistance when needed. Overall we enjoyed our games at 60 Out and highly recommend visiting all of their rooms in the various locations in the Los Angeles area. Cons: We had a few mechanical difficulties in some of the more technologically complex rooms and at least one or two puzzle fails in games where poor puzzle design hindered our progress. These rooms were excellent overall. We found 60 Out, specifically Titanic and Grandma's MasterPlan, to be among our top ten favorite escape room experiences. Do not pass up the opportunity to play their games if you are in Southern California.
