Although I’ve given Gotham’s Knight a thumbs down, I actually did have a good time for the 15 minutes I was in the room. The idea is solid enough but the significant lack of content means I can’t actively recommend this to anyone until it receives a revamp. It starts off promising in the world of Gotham (an easy selling point) having players face off against the Riddler’s challenges but between the sheer amount of monologuing and preamble, there’s a lot of time spent just standing around in pitch black darkness. Some of the puzzles were cool and on theme but as mentioned, there was NOWHERE NEAR enough of them to justify the room’s price point. While I understand it’s important for venues to have a designated “easy room” this is pretty laughable. Cool idea done lazily. Staff were wonderful though :-)

Going to have to keep it short and sweet with this one as was unfortunately the case with our game. A room in complete darkness, cool concept in theory- unfortunate execution. Across the three rooms there are 6 puzzles at a stretch which, although being marketed as one of their easier rooms, is not enough to justify a 60 minute game time. Granted we are pretty experienced but escaping a room in 15 minutes with 4 of those covered by an on-screen monologue is frankly indefensible. The theming was unique but other than this just so much was missing. Can't recommend.

A really great concept - a room entirely in the dark. But just so terribly executed and so few puzzles it fell flat. The ending was underwhelming and the puzzles in between were lacklustre. There was also malfunction in the room causing the doors to open prematurely. In addition it was difficult to work out when a puzzle was successful as there was not always a visual or audible cue. This is the second escape room done here and unfortunately they just do not live up to many of the others played.

Immersive experience, in complete darkness. An original concept. A lot of character acting on computer screens with voice acting through intercoms. Room is very new. A lot of focus on narrative and story telling
