Disclaimer: We played this room as Beta Testers. Which means this room will actually be better than this rave review!
Even as a test, this room was fantastic! Skeptics and conspiracy theorists alike will enjoy the atmosphere, storyline, creative puzzles, and out-of-this-world customer service. It is a satisfying room with a great blend of technology and physical locks (this is actually my preference over 100% lock-free rooms!).
So happy Cinema Escape Room now has locations closer to my house in San Diego. Great addition to the local rooms!
Great flow! We all got to participate and it felt logical at each step
Fully immersed in the conspiracy theory cabin. Great use of audio, lighting, props, and intro video.
Great attentive moderator.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
I cannot remember a more funny escape room. Laugh out loud funny throughout. And lots of cool pop culture references.
The story was well integrated without being distracting. We didn’t have a lot of X Files knowledge among our group and that didn’t hinder us at all.
We asked for a few hints but never felt it was unfair or illogical.
I wish “a mix” was an option on Morty! Theres great use of tech but also physical locks. 90% of the time I find this to be more enjoyable than full tech games. There’s something satisfying about opening a good old fashioned lock, especially when the puzzles have creative use of tech.
2 if very experienced would be great too
Even scaredy cats can enjoy this room!
They put a lot of love into revamping from the previous escape room here. It feels as new as it is.
Physically active
Not at all
Accessibility
One small step up required. Use of puzzles that require sight, touch, and hearing. But not everyone has to participate to solve.
Inside a very cool art gallery.
Lots of free street parking. Might get busy during peak times because it’s a cute lively little part of Escondido, but I can’t imagine it being too difficult to find a spot.
