Cosmic Crisis

I loved this room. I did this solo and got to the final puzzle with two minutes left (but needed one clue I decided for the sake of time management). Could be done with two people. Best to do it with 3-4 people. 4-5 for novices and beginners. They might add people to your group and anything more than 5 and it gets crowded. Game design was excellent. Puzzles were medium to hard but not very hard. I could see where one would find these puzzles very hard but this is my kind of room so I found them moderately challenging but doable. There is an added challenge in one of the puzzles when you know what needs to be done, how do you do it with what you have. Sorry if you think that could be a spoiler. Something didn’t work quite right on my experience even though I did it right and the gm had to do a minor assist.

Room was on oar with other TEG games. Unfortunately the final puzzle mechanism was not functioning properly for us, so they ended up bypassing it for us. Would have loved to done the final puzzle, as it looked fun.

Overall our group gave the room a 5/10. The room design was fun, the set had a good themed design. We hit a couple parts that just had a really poor clue system. The other issue was preset clues that when we had to ask for a hint, it told us to find the thing we were already holding and using- which was not helpful at all. The other problem we solved but never heard or saw the result occur so we ended up wasting time to the point the GM had to let us know to move on. I’m still not convinced the thing we were supposed to use wasn’t broke and they just made a bad alter solution. But it did end well and we enjoyed the conclusion.

There were about 3x that I wish we had more people. We probably needed 5 more minutes to escape properly, for our group of 2.

Played with just me and a friend! We didn’t escape, but had a blast. Like some others have echoed on the platform, think this one should probably have a minimum of 3 and not 2.

Despite the rating we did not end up escaping (the first one we didn’t escape at the escape game) so I would actually rate it a bit harder than it seemed. The room does seem more linear than the other rooms.

This is a high thumbs up! Super high tech room with cool puzzles. Very team oriented and I definitely agree it’s a room built for more than 2 ppl even with experience.

I would say this is one of the harder rooms at The Escape Game. There are a lot of puzzles and there is a good variation in all the different puzzle types. Would definitely not recommend this room for 2 people. 4 is the would be the sweet spot. Construction/ environment/ immersion felt similar to The Depths
