Budapest Express

My wife and I have been doing escape rooms for years and have come to love the rooms at Escapology but this one was subpar altogether. The single room made it confusing on where to even start. That combined with the instructions of “some clues shouldn’t be moved from their original location” made us feel like we couldn’t move anything. Combined with one of the clues being broken (the picture - we understand why but it should have been noted), this game was a mess. It felt like there was no rhyme or reason to anything. We felt overwhelmed from the beginning. And felt like we wasted $100 on a date night. The room itself was really cool but the puzzle was not. If you come to Escapology, do the Scooby Doo room or the Lost City. Both are excellent rooms.

This room threw too much at you too quickly. Not that many things to solve but even when you know who did it you aren’t through. Most rooms have a flow but I didn’t feel this room flowed well. There are better rooms at Escapology.

Escapology is notorious for too much paper and too much reading. Sets always look nice. The ending/solution in this game didn't feel like an escape room ending. Not a great way to explain without spoiling but wasn't left feeling satisfied.
