Prison Break

This room is very possible with two players, that said I think that this experience would really benefit from a 4-man team. The gimmick is starting separated which can lead to a very “solo” first act of this room with only two players. I enjoyed the theming, the sound design, and most of the puzzles but I wasn’t left as amped as I was with other experiences by TEG. They claim this is the companies hardest room, and that tracks with the three rooms I have played from TEG. You never know how an experience at a “The Escape Game” location is going to go because of the corporate rigor that is always around, but I can vouch for the team at Grapevine making this a lovely experience that would make me want to return to this location.

Some fun puzzles, though nothing particularly unique. It was quite linear, which isn’t always my fave. Separate starts was fun if a bit tricky with just two of us!

Great room, love the novel starting aspect. Quite a difficult room, we did have to ask for a couple clues. Some of the spaces were small so personally I think the optimal group size for this room is 4, though 4 relatively experienced players.

This is an awesome room with meticulous theming. We had a great time in each of the different areas and enjoyed the different puzzle elements.

Overall a good escape game, but not as good as the others I've played at The Escape Game. There were two particular solutions that were frustrating, not because they were cleverly difficult but because one was a not good link from puzzle to how to use it, and the other because it required assumptions that shouldn't have to be made in well designed escape games. (Sorry, that's very vague, but didn't want to spoil anything). Again, still a good experience with lots of clever puzzles and great immersion, but just not quite the 100% great puzzles I associate with The Escape Game.

Fort let me say this is a good escape experience. The level of detail was really nice. But…As these are not private games, we were placed with 6 others… 2 of which had already done the room. Took a lot of the fun out of figuring out some of the puzzles as, while they tried to not give it away for the first timers that were with them, they really didn’t give us a chance to figure many of the puzzles out on our own without giving away hints. while the room itself is well done, the overall experience wasn’t as I enjoy the challenge of figuring out the puzzles and unfortunately I didn’t get to enjoy that. But lesson learned on my end… IF I do a community escape room in the future and any one person has played it before, I’m going to do my best to swap to another time or game.

The Escape Game is always a good time! Prison Break is not my favorite of theirs but I can appreciate a well thought out game. Great, fun experience, a bit creepy for me at time (I’m a chicken) but we all had a blast.

The immersion/decor of this room is incredible. The emotion I'm feeling about this room is regret, not because the room wasn't amazing, but because I missed two very obvious clues. You've probably done a room where you start the room separated from part of your group. This is one of those rooms. Separate your two best communicators so that they can share information with each other. Make sure you search the areas very thoroughly. My only complaint about this room is that it was unnecessarily dark. We completed the room in 55 minutes
