I expected to like this room a lot more than I did. Only 2 of us so I think it would have been more fun with more people.

Very fun room! None of the puzzles were particularly difficult, but there are a massive amount of them. The shear number of puzzles is what would make this difficult with a small number of players. The Escape Game always fills up spots with strangers and unfortunately the Monday afternoon we chose had 7 people added just before the game started. Their rooms are solid, but the experience is hit or miss due to this. We ended up with a couple people who weren’t all that great with teamwork and had “give me that” personalities, but we still had fun.

8.2/10 Sometimes, an escape room doesn’t need to be intense or deeply mysterious to deliver a great time. It just needs to be fun, and that’s exactly what Playground accomplishes. What stood out the most was just how genuinely fun it was from start to finish. The puzzles were clever, varied, and encouraged both mental and physical engagement. From interactive challenges to tactile surprises, there was a childlike joy in progressing through each “subject,” and we couldn’t help but smile the whole time. Even though we were paired with two random teammates, the experience still flowed really well. The room is non-linear, so there’s plenty to work on at once, which helped keep everyone involved and active. The report-card-style progress tracker was a great touch, helping us stay organized while adding to the classroom immersion. Playground might not be the most complex or atmospheric room out there, but it delivers exactly what it promises, a good time!

So fun! So much for everyone to do simultaneously. Great theme and fun way to keep track of progress without distracting from immersive theme.

Super fun escape room that’s really immersive! While the puzzle isn’t super difficult, there are ALOT of puzzles, so it is challenging. Completed it with a group of 2 and had 6 minutes left, but I feel like 4-6 would be a sweet spot. The gamemasters are also incredible at this company. One of the best escape room companies in NYC!

A fun room, and the first I have played in a school classroom. Many tasks, and non-linear. I played as a single player, and it was quite challenging to get everything done in the time (I am pretty sure I was given a few extra minutes).

Played this room with a big group (10) and it was really fun - a little chaotic and cramped at times, but everyone was able to get involved and have a good time.
