Special Ops: Mysterious Market

Not my favorite of TER. Flow of 2nd half didn’t quite match the first! But still a good experience!

Very fun theme with a very apt title, “mysterious market”. The Escape Game put 2 random players in with us which detracted heavily from the experience. I strongly recommend going in as a private group. Mixing groups interferes with communication and caused us to get stuck on a puzzle because we didn’t realize one of the strangers was holding on to hidden information.

Finished with 58 seconds left!! Super tense finale

This is our least favorite game so far. It wasn’t intuitive especially in the latter part of the game and there was a tech glitch that added to some confusion. Very creative theming and the first part was quite engaging. Just lost us at the end. I’d do some other before this one.

Some of the coolest sets and puzzles- one interface towards the end was too technologically convoluted, but the gameplay itself was awesome. I had a blast!

the design and some puzzles were very cool and theatrical. the gameplay itself was not intuitive at all. i have never had to ask for so many hints (10!!!). there were multiple puzzles that assume you will just know what to do. especially when the room gets high tech, the tech interface is so involved and confusing. if the room was longer/unlimited time, it would’ve been better to get a hang of the tech. but with only 30 so mins to finish the room, there’s little to no time to really grasp the tech. if they made that software/interface more user friendly, i could see how it could be fun. instead it was more stressful and i have no clue what we did to get out tbh. great staff tho and some cool special effects!
