This is a THE BEST ROOM I have ever done. I think about it all the time and tell everyone how amazing it is. This place is states away from me and I plan to go back one day just because it’s that great!

This game was truly ahead of its of its time. I can confidently say it was one of the most unique games I’ve ever played. I almost got choked up at the end. The GM was truly goated as well - he definitely bent over backwards for me - I was terribly grateful for that! Thanks Fro!
Flawless flow.
Well maintained!
As welcoming as it gets!

The team at Boxaroo are great. This room was amazing. A well thought out story and a room you can tell was conceived by and designed by people who love escape rooms. A whimsical and fun story that leans into the storytelling nature of escape experiences and allows for you to really immerse yourself in the world. Some very unique and surprising puzzles which made it all the more exciting and memorable. Can’t recommend enough. Great GM and staff. Great. Great room!

This game has it all - a completely novel (sorry) theme and story, engaging puzzle solving, beautiful and distinct environments, a unique hint mechanic, and surprising discoveries big and small. It’s just plain fun.
Some really fun puzzle solving. A lot of unique puzzles, and even the puzzle types we’ve seen before felt elevated and catered to the story. The hint system was really nice. Without spoiling it, you’re able to opt into a hint whenever you’re ready, rather than your GM just telling you your next hint. Our GM also had the ability to use the game’s lighting system to communicate “look over there” rather than just telling us “look over there.”
The first space set the tone for the rest of the game, complete with surprising effects, a delightful set, and props that foreshadowed what was to come.
Emanuel was great, getting to know us as players before the game and wanting to know about our experience after the game. Gave us the right amount of nudge when we needed it during the game.

We haven’t seen this theme before in an escape room.
Really enjoyed how the game begins with some beautiful storytelling and world building right off the bat. The story continued to build with distinct chapters, which helped distinguish a nice beginning, middle, and end, each with its own objective.
Hard
Some of the puzzles require new ways of thinking, but with the 75 minute play time, we never felt rushed or stressed.

Only encountered one lock the entire game.

The physical space can be limited at some points, so I wouldn’t recommend more than three or four. One puzzle physically requires three players to solve, so if you’re going in with two players, you can expect your GM to jump in with some assistance when the time is right.

Intro to the game is presented with both text and audio. A couple of puzzles are solved using color. One player needs to bend down to floor level a time or two. One area of the game is likely limited in space for chair-use.

Not far from public transit, which we used.

This game was incredibly unique, and a VERY important detail to make note of is that technically this room is an experience and is not categorically an escape room. My husband and I got hung up several different times because, unlike an escape room, many of the functions of the room were reused and changed throughout the gameplay despite prior usage. Overall, I personally was not a fan of the way that the gameplay worked, however upon reflection my feelings on the room are more due to feeling mislead about the game than about the game's quality.

This instantly became a top 5 game of all time. Wonderful twist of old ideas and new ideas. Great story and non-linear design.
Very fun non-linear room design with a mix of new ideas and old concepts but with a nice twist.

There is some crawling and bending.
Some audio puzzles, some crawling, there is a color puzzle but I think it is color blind friendly.

Really a wonderful room and one of our top 5! The front desk team was so welcoming and our game master was awesome. The room is full of really well done puzzles that flowed in a very authentic way with the story. I can’t wait to plan another trip to do the other two rooms at this location.

I can see how this is a top rated room… it just wasn’t for me. Starting with the incredible parts the set design was amazing. The way everything connected aesthetically was incredible and the clue and storyline devices used were inventive and novel. However, I felt like the rest of this room was a bit of a mess at points. There was multiple times where you had no idea what to do next, just where you had to end up or open up. Also, a lot of the puzzles you had to backtrack to and do again, something I am not a fan of at all. One of the puzzles was literally impossible to do with 2 people (3+ required) and they very clearly had to override it, although they were very nice about it. Finally, I HATE word unscrambles in escape rooms. No spoilers on where or when it is in the room but these feel less of a fun puzzle and more of a skill based challenge. It was also quite a long phrase that you had no direction to help you figure it out… overall, a super fun experience that i’m so glad I was able to do but definitely wouldn’t rank it as high as others claim it to be.
It seemed to be a bit broken in the flow making you guess where to go next instead of being intuitive. You had to backtrack a fair bit more than I prefer in an escape room and it seemed repetitive at times.
One of the coolest set designed rooms i’ve ever seen! Very cool effects when things were solved!
LOVE the gms here! They were awesome!

Definitely a different and interesting game even though it wasn’t super up my alley. The clue system and the projector were unlike anything I’d ever seen in a room and truly made the experience worth it!
Very clear story!

Not super difficult but again it was hard at times to figure out what to do next. The nonlinear parts of the room were very unintuitive to me.

crawling was needed twice and crouching down a couple times
crawling needed, color was used in one of the puzzles, you needed to crouch in a weird angle to listen to something as well
