You made a wrong turn on this road trip and ended up on a dead end street as your car runs out of gas in the middle of nowhere. No cell service. No help for miles. But just up the road… a house. The only sign of life. You knock. No answer. Then you see the cellar door—slightly ajar. What choice do you have?

TLDR an excellent horror themed escape room. Try to avoid spoilers and enjoy. Set design was fantastic. Unfortunately by reading reviews of the room I spoiled a fun twist for myself but even with that would absolutely recommend this room

The best horror room in the area hands down. A must for anyone who loves escape rooms and wants to experience living a horror movie

Gameplay

Such a fun horror themed room. Probably the best horror room in the area!

10/10 Somewhere in between SAW and a silly horror movie. Genuinely the perfect balance of scary to fun

Our team of two chickens decided to become braver and try a scary room: this was a great intro to the scarier side since it was more creepy than terror-inducing; i.e. it was still possible to think. This room is recommended with a 3-person minimum which makes sense; our fairly experienced 2-person team barely got out in time and had to get repeated nudges to cover our search fails. The character in the room really makes the game, and there was a nice little piece of story to work out too. Of note: one person needs to not be claustrophobic to be able to play.

Gameplay
Atmosphere

Creepy but not terrifyingly so; a few jump scares but not so bad as to make your heart stop.

Customer service

The staff is all great; the character in the room really added to the experience in a positive way!

Not wheelchair accessible; we heard afterwards that they do allow the use of flashlights, which is helpful for needing to search in low light conditions

I'm always a scaredy cat when it comes to horror themed rooms. And typically with good reason. If a jump scare is going to be triggered or the live actor is going to make someone scream, it's going to be me. And this room did not disappoint. Nothing truly disturbing in hindsight but the jumps were fun. Scenery wise the room was quite creepy without crossing a line. The puzzles were a mix bagged and had a little something for everyone. We had some young players with us who were quite helpful; especially their bendable knees and ability to crawl. I also must applaud their unique clue delivery system. Probably in my top five.

My son and I took on this room today and it was an absolute blast. The atmosphere is this room is perfectly done. We both got spooked a couple times within the opening minutes and it set the tone for solving the puzzles while not really knowing exactly what to expect going forward. Our GM played the role perfectly and really added to the experience, every nudge and time update was done in character. There was a lot to do in this room for sure - with just two it was a challenge but we managed to make it out with 3 minutes to spare. Highly recommend!

Usually this is where I would complain about my color blindness hindering my ability to do a puzzle, but thankfully the creator used very friendly colors that were easily identifiable, even to me.

The Cellar 2 was so much fun! We went with a group of 5 and it was challenging and suspenseful. This is the 4th room I’ve done at this location and they’ve all been awesome!

Soooooooo much fun! This was the first time I actually jumped in an escape room… and it’s quite hard to make me jump 🤣 also our GM’s acting was so good that it made things a million times more immersive, scary and fun 😝! I also thought it was cool that he was giving hints in character when necessary. The set was also great and quite convincing. The room had good flow to it. Just know there is a looot to do… we would’ve made it out if we would’ve had a couple more minutes, but then we were told that only one group of 2 has ever made it out and they were a very experienced group (100s of rooms done) so that made us feel slightly better haha. I 100% recommend this room. I’d say get a group of 4-8 people together. The experience of the room alone is worth it. You will have to do multiple things that you’ve probably never done in any escape room, and will have an awesome, immersive experience. *Some notes: multiple jump scares and if you’re not good with scary or gorey stuff, this isn’t the room for you. Also, you can’t see your time countdown, don’t have a notepad nor flashlight… so with all that being said, some things may be a bit more difficult and it’s another reason why I recommend a bigger group to tackle this room.*

Fun well themed recreation/sequel. Same physical space as the original room (but it is supposed to be per the story). A lot has changed since the first Cellar escape. Lots of different puzzles. Biggest challenges though were some clues were just hard to notice as first, some involve counting and what you are counting might be hard to find, and one of the earlier puzzles requires more force than you are told in the initial briefing. Overall it is a lot of fun and GM comes through in character to give hints and give remaining time updates.

  • This room had the best organ props we’ve seen in an escape room. It felt so real...
