Legends say Blackheart guards a map to the Dead Man’s Treasure, hidden on a cursed island in the Mediterranean. You’ve broken free, but the real test begins. Outwit ghostly traps, solve forgotten riddles, and uncover clues that lead to the treasure map. Will you escape before Blackheart returns, or be lost to the ship’s curse? The treasure awaits—if you dare claim it.

To begin with, we loved the staff at The Great Escape - Bendigo. This was our first experience with them and we had such a good time we came back and completed all of the rooms during our short stay in the area. While "pirates" isn't the most interesting of themes, this was a really fun room absolutely packed full of all sorts of different puzzles. The only criticism we have of The Great Escape is in their use of AI artwork; the rooms themselves are so clearly put together by human hands that love escape rooms, and that same human passion shines through in your interactions with the staff, that it's such a shame that the artwork used to sell the rooms themselves is so decidedly non-human.

Went to the Mediterranean and you’re not gonna believe this… THERE WERE PIRATES! GARH! Probably the most impressively dressed room you’ll find at The Great Escape, with props, clues, costumes, jokes and treasure galore. Sometimes can be a little tricky to differentiate puzzle from prop but the inclusion of little red herring figurines on certain items is very clever and helpful. The puzzles themselves were tricky and plentiful with a multitude of things to play with and solve, it was a genuinely fun swashbuckling soirée. Shoutout to Rachel and Maddie who were lovely and super accommodating! 7.1/10 🔏🧩

YAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR! Hunting booty and looking good doing it, we shipped out to the Mediterranean and onto the most puzzle filled boat I've come across in all my seafaring adventures. I had a great time with this one. The set was great, the puzzles were varied and on theme, and the vibes were high. Hell yarr. Our hosts Rachel and Maddie were lovely and really made our trip back over to Bendigo worth our time. Would definitely recommend coming aboard.
