Merlin’s beard! The Warlock Greg is back at it again! After a quick ponder of the orb I’ve concluded I had a fun time with this one. Spells, books, potions, HAT. What more could a budding young wizard ask for? I love being given a specific little trinket and with our group of 4 we lucked out on one wand each, super ideal. It’s a shame the tech was a bit fiddly in a couple of the props cause otherwise the flow was quite good. Less ideal. One of the better uses of the Harry Potter-esque Wizard rooms I’ve played, it didn’t fall into the trap of leaning heavily on this IP to run the game. An entertaining quest and one I would implore you to partake in.

Definitely one of the strongest wizarding outings I’ve experienced over the years, also pretty rapt this one didn’t completely lean on Harry Potter for its narrative and inspiration. We did have some difficulty getting a couple of the tech in the wands to work but it honestly didn’t matter as once everything was up and running the flow of puzzles was excellent and we proceeded without any issues. All of the rooms at The Great Escape Bendigo are of a moderate size but are all used in a super creative way to maximise content and exploration. A truly original and charming venue all round.
