36 escape rooms

I feel like this room has potential to be a decent escape game, but in its current form, it's not. The majority of the puzzles were fun, but the signposting to them was near on non existent. The plot felt unnatural and counter intuitive, having to perform actions to only then undo them 5 minutes later. Some of the set dressing was quite nice, but ruined by buttons and switches that had significant narrative purpose, but no physical purpose, they did not work.

Atmosphere

The ambient backing noise was okay, but sometimes ruined by screams from next door.

44 escape rooms

This could be so good but it really fails to meet expectations. I’m not sure the game designer has ever played this version of their game. Controls and buttons in the room that do absolutely nothing, multiple screens that don’t work, glare from lights so you can’t read information. Text so small only 1 person in our group could read it. I would feel cheated if we’d paid full price for this experience. This isn’t what an escape room experience should be. One positive is they’re very lucky to have excellent staff! Everyone was lovely and welcoming. They’ve been let down by this game!

Gameplay

The story didn’t really make any sense, which I can forgive. The first room was fun but as soon as that was over it was a subpar experience.

Atmosphere

Tenpin is looking amazing. The set design is OK but it could definitely be better. Things were broken on day 1!

Customer service

The GM was fantastic. She was let down by the game itself.
