Resurrection was an awesome game and honestly such a good mix of comedy and horror. It had the perfect balance where it still felt spooky and immersive, but it wasn’t so intense that you’re on edge the entire time or too scared to move through the room. There are definitely some solid jump scares though, so I would give that warning going in, especially if you’re someone who startles easily.
The puzzles were great and the overall flow of the game kept us engaged the whole time. One of the things we really enjoyed was how interactive it felt, with a few fun, non-traditional moments mixed in that made it stand out from a typical escape room experience. It’s the kind of room where if you’ve played a lot of games before, you’ll appreciate that it does something a little different, and if you’re newer to escape rooms, it still feels easy to follow and enjoy.
Our game master, Pedro, was also a big highlight. He did a great job setting the tone from the very beginning and really leaned into the experience in a way that made the story more fun. Quest Room also does that classic touch where they bring you into the room blindfolded, and I always love that because it adds to the suspense and makes the start feel even more immersive. Overall, Resurrection was funny, entertaining, and a great time, and it’s definitely a room we would play again.
