Sweethearts Ice Cream Parlour

Could not be more excited about this room after playing Seance last year, I was lucky enough to be able to play test Sweethearts and am beyond blown away. The room felt immersive from beginning to end, the theming was strong and never lacked in any aspect. There were so many puzzles and I felt like I was actively working on puzzle solving the entire time, even with my group of 5 players. The room provided some excellent non-linear pathways throughout so our group could split up and work on different puzzles as we made our way through. In attempt to not spoil anything I will say the way this escape room was designed made the room/s feel much bigger than they actually were and all the puzzles felt real to the scenario of our objective. I am very impressed with The Cool Space and will continue to look forward to see what those masterminds come up with for their upcoming rooms.

I had the privilege of playtesting this room and it was so COOL (pun intended)! It has such an incredible retro set design and creative props. I love the unique theming—out of the 140 escape rooms I’ve played, I can’t say I’ve got to play an ice cream-themed adventure before! The storyline had a fantastic twist, and the puzzles were refreshingly original, with a few I’d genuinely never seen before. It’s also seriously Instagram-worthy—one look at the set and you have to play.

Another stunning set from The Cool Space! We were fortunate enough to test the game prior to its release, and we thoroughly enjoyed what we saw. Fun retro pastels and pinstripes of yesteryear greet players as they step into the ice cream parlour and from there, the cool caper begins. From the rock ‘n’ roll music to the retro-futuristic Mix-a-tron 3000, it’s clear that a great deal of time and effort went into the design of this experience. The puzzles were a healthy, varied mix of easier and more layered ‘a-ha!’ moments, with many cleverly tied into the narrative of ‘Sweethearts’. Puzzle-focused escape room fans will thoroughly enjoy some of the game’s unique puzzles, we certainly haven’t encountered them anywhere else. There’s something for everyone in The Cool Space’s new experience — it’s a sweet time!

Note: We playtested this room prior to opening. The theming of this room is excellent and really has the old school ice cream parlour vibes. The puzzles all flowed well and followed the story. A good use of audio, lighting and effects to really bring the room alive. Highly recommended.
