Absolutely stellar room.
I'm a longtime Escape Room lover, visited many different establishments, and this is easily in my top 3 rooms, if not first place. Literally downloaded Morty JUST to write this :D
There's so much passion and love in every corner. I've been to massive, multi-room adventures, but Sweethearts somehow gets so much out of a comparatively smaller escape room. There are so many little clues and details that weren't necessary to the puzzles, but simply for lore and story purposes, and realising just what that story was was so incredibly rewarding.
There are so many special touches, and so much extra the owners do to personalise every team's adventure. Cannot recommend this room enough, and I cannot WAIT to try their others!!
The variety of puzzles was wonderful, from simple combination locks, to hidden clues, to completely unique things I can't spoil. EVERYTHING was themed to fit the location and the story. Absolutely incredible.
Absolutely insane, especially because TWO people made essentially everything by hand!! From the art, to the digital components, to the actual carpentry. Highly recommend asking the owners about it, if you have the time :>
So incredibly friendly, very into their role when hosting the game. Like a good DM at a tabletop session.
So very forthcoming, and happy to share details about the room I missed, which elevated the experience even further.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
Absolutely. I've never had the rug pulled out from me in such a way, but I can't describe it even a little without spoiling. It's so unique, PLEASE check it out!!
Absolutely peak. I don't want to spoil even a little bit; just go in, and pay attention >:)))
Very solid difficulty! And more importantly, every puzzle felt very fair and considered. There's never any cheap tricks, or padding to waste your time.
It's more on the mechanical side, but there's DEFINITELY more than enough tech in there.
And more importantly, all of the puzzles, mechanical or otherwise, are so unique; it's perfect 😭
Everything is perfect.
There's some really hilarious sleight of hand that goes on with a certain puzzle to make the technology work; I never in a million years would have realised if I hadn't happened to ask about it after the room. Very clever :>
Not live actors specifically! But the host plays a character to introduce you to the room, and gives a voiceover later. It's FANTASTIC.
Physically active
Somewhat
There's one section in particular that has you use your body in a fun way to complete a puzzle. Not straining at all, though!
