Butcher's Den

I didn’t actually know this room existed until it randomly popped up on their website, apparently it’s very new (could have fooled me). Having played all the rooms at their Ballarat venue I was not expecting much with this one and surprise surprise, it was poo poo. The Butcher’s Den felt like someone’s first ever attempt at making an escape room with more hide and seek and worded riddles than actual puzzles, nothing was particularly interesting to discover or solve. For a new experience the room itself was already pretty worn with faded paint and broken props which begs the question, how can this have a price point of $50pp? Bad room, bad vibes, bad time.

Starting in a cage was a cool little feature of this room but once we got out it was all down hill from there. Basic puzzles done pretty poorly, a stupid amount of tool boxes and RIDDLES AGAIN. Probably the most 4 digit locks I’ve ever seen in one space, I was in hell. Better than their other room but that’s not really saying much.
