Definitely my least favorite room at Crack the Code. It is very outdated. There are way too many locks and lots of unused papers. Most of the “puzzles” involve handing you the answer instead of using any logic. Did not enjoy this one.
The puzzles flow well, but they aren’t fun and are seriously lacking in creativity
Very bare room. The paint in the game is the same color as the paint in the lobby and hallways throughout the rest of the building. No special effects. I didn’t feel immersed at all
Particularly interesting or different
No
A good chunk of the “puzzles” involves finding the bolded/circled words or numbers in a news article and inserting them into a lock. No creativity used to create these puzzles and no thinking involved to solve them.
One high tech puzzle and the rest is mechanical
The room can hold four players comfortably, but the puzzles are too linear for more than two players to be able to solve things at the same time
On the bright side of this review, the puzzles are easy enough, this is a good beginner room for kids
Physically active
Not at all
Accessibility
Handicap accessible. One color based puzzle
Located in a strip mall with a big parking lot. Some spaces reserved for the escape room
