The first part of this escape room can only be described as a vision leaving you wondering what will happen next but that is it. The rest does not deserve even worthy mention. The second half is kind of a letdown and needs improvement.

I was really disappointed with this game. My expectations were high based on the ratings here, but the disinterested hostess and the run down set really detracts from some fun gameplay moments.

The room felt old, with many visibly worn elements. Two of the puzzles had mechanical problems requiring host intervention. There was no obvious place to begin. Later we realized the host had pointed us toward somethiing during her intro, but a) that info came too early, before we had context, and b) we all misinterpreted it as a clue to how to get hints during the game. The spaces were mostly bare, hard painted surfaces, making the spaces uninviting to be in. The reliance on word/number/key locks was not thematic. There was a slide with a 187 pound limit that the adults in our party exceeded, so we had to use an alternate route. The puzzles near the end of the experience were more satisfying and successful, but overall the room was a disappointment and I can't recommend it.

Gameplay

Simple riddles, a bunch of locks, and faulty tech marred the first 2/3. The final third was better.

Atmosphere

With such a rich IP to work with, the atmosphere was a huge disappointment.

Customer service

The front desk seemed completely uninterested in us. The host was enthusiastic and friendly, but that first impression was poor.

This is a pretty physical room. I do not suggest it for anyone with mobility issues. There is also an element that has a weight limit of 180, so certain parts may not be accessible to all body types. This has a fun trippy vibe and has a few puzzles I’ve never seen before. Lots of puzzles take team work and we really enjoyed that. 4 people felt like the perfect number. The room feels pretty dingy and not super well taken care of at times.

I really enjoyed the room. The theme is really cool and fun! The first room was definitely my favorite. One of the rooms is a bit older but I still enjoyed it. However, it is not very accessible. If you have any specific concerns, I would recommend calling them before booking.

We completed the room with 2 people but went over the time a little. There are some puzzles that would be easier and take less time if you had at least 3 people.

There is one puzzle that spins on its own. So, you just have to pay attention and hold it in the right spot. It didn’t ruin the gameplay and the game master should let you know when you get here.

There is some puzzles that requires you to exert some physical effort. Nothing too difficult in my opinion. I think they add to the experience and make sense with the theme.

Accessibility

This unfortunately is not an accessible room at all. The rooms are small and traveling from room to room requires that you be able to crawl, climb, and fit through small spaces. Additionally, there is a room with bright colors and another room with illusions on the wall that could be uncomfortable for someone with vision problems.

This room started out so strong. If the entire game had been like the first room, it would have been a love. I loved the layers to the large puzzle in the first room. This game is VERY physically active by the way, which I enjoyed, and the transitions were great. The second room... while I enjoyed almost all of the puzzles in this space, it is absolutely destroyed visually. The floor was worn, the wood was splintered, and I actually caught a little knick on an exposed nail in the wood when you have to climb over it. This room also felt really dirty. I do love the way you got a set of keys in this room, very fun. Another thing to note, this room is not going to be as fun for individuals above 180 lbs due to restrictions. If you're in a group, who's going to want to raise their hand and say their too heavy, no one wants to do that. We've played a decent amount of rooms and this is the first time I have ever had this issue. Final room is fun, but our GM must have been tired of watching us because she kept coming over the speaker and breaking immersion. This and vampyr were the first experience I've had where the GM was a make or break experience, we just really did not click with this GM. She seemed pretty disinterested in the whole thing and we gathered that the owners are pretty absent/ unaware or don't care that their rooms are falling apart. I hate to be so critical, especially when there is potential, but the visual appearance/setting of the room is just as important as the puzzles.

There's one thing this room does ridiculously well, and it's the set of the first area. Merely stepping in was a "wow" moment, and then it quickly escalated into "Am I on drugs?" levels of amazing (which makes a lot of sense given the theme). Having said that, the set was not everyone's cup of tea, so YMMV. The rest of the experience was decent - puzzles were good, and areas felt fairly distinct. Some props felt worn, they could do a better job on maintenance. There's one section of the game that can't be bypassed and requires climbing/crawling. If you have mobility issues, I'd talk to the staff to figure out if you'll be able to do it.
