Materia Medica

This room was our first experience at Novus. This was the first time we had to climb and crawl, but we had a blast. If you don't have someone in your group who is good at math, this room is going to suck. The puzzle at the end was my favorite part of the room. I will say, there were times when the lighting was solely red lighting then things were written in red and I found that irritating for my eyes. I felt like I was squinting the whole time. But that's my only negative for this room.

the first puzzle was completely wild. each puzzle was labeled with a number and to solve puzzle 2 you needed something from puzzle 1, however, if we were to truly stick to the system and only look at one puzzle at a time, we would have never known that. there was no indication with what to do for puzzle 1 at all. once my group got past that puzzle we had more fun and enjoyed all the other puzzles. overall, this was a cool room with a very unique storyline and some clever puzzles later on.

This room was pretty cool! My group really enjoyed it & got out of the room before time was up. What I didn’t like was that you needed to leave the room with 1 very specific item & if you didn’t, you didn’t truly escape. So we were pretty bummed to know we didn’t “escape” because we didn’t leave the room with the item.
