The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Escape

As someone who is a major fan of Wizard of Oz, I was very impressed by the theming. I would say this room is fun for the whole family, but some of the puzzles were a stretch in my opinion. I wish the room flowed better than it did. Some of the puzzles were meant to be “obvious” but were in fact a little far fetched.

This is my first big disappointment escape room. They don’t offer private rooms; however, we went early in the day during the week so we didn’t have to worry about sharing a room. We can only have three clues. From my past experience I was thinking that after the third clue, we wouldn’t be able to get on a leaderboard or something of that nature. But no. if you need help after that third clue you’re just out of luck. (That’s my fault for assuming). We weren’t given a backstory to the room. It was more so of “you don’t have to force anything and if you break anything, you’re responsible for paying to repair/replace”. As he was on his way out of the room, I had to ask when does our time start because I didn’t see a monitor and he said once he leaves the room. But if I hadn’t asked, I would not have known.. Our game master was not the most attentive. When we did ask for one of our clues, he was asking whether we got to a certain point of the room yet but if he was paying attention he would’ve known. Because we were stuck (and out of clues) we spent the last maybe 10 - 15 minutes just kind of sitting around hoping for some type of epiphany lol When our time was up, we were contacted on our walkie-talkie to come out of the room. I tried to ask questions about the remaining puzzles but was told that they can’t give that information out. This was drastically different from the many other escape rooms that we’ve played before and I think it’s safe to say that I won’t be going back to that one.
