Fun room in ABQ. Definitely some spooky/scary elements but not excessive. Good mix of linear and non-linear puzzle solving

This was so much fun! Just the right amount of scare along with great puzzles. I can see how some of the scare factors could slow down a team, but since it didn’t really affect us, we could have used a few more puzzles! The puzzles were fantastic, and the clues were truly clever!

Many locks are very low. Low light and UV light were a part of the experience.

This is an older game and feels like it - lots of combination locks and scattered clues that you have to gather. It wasn't always clear what puzzles could be worked on and what puzzles we needed to unlock more information for. There was at least one point early on where we did something that didn't have obvious feedback, so we overlooked what it had triggered. Still, I thought it was enjoyable.

This was an enjoyable room. The theme is exactly what it says it is: you’re trying to escape by discovering the secrets of Camp Crystal Lake. There are a variety of puzzles mostly centering on observation, logic, and communication. We didn’t find the game to be particularly difficult, and there were plenty of things to do, so 2-4 players would be fine. More than 4 would feel crowded. You will encounter some blood and gore but nothing beyond a PG rating. Recommended.

There is one brief interaction but I wouldn’t say that it counts as a “live actor.”

This is a straightforward room, with a clear goal and some fun puzzle play. Also more than a couple times when I fully jumped and or screamed, but maybe that’s just me LOL. I found this room not a difficult one, but a very enjoyable experience if you like some scares and creepiness.

One of my favorite rooms from Bust Out. Puzzles were good and the immersion was better than the average escape room. Loved the host interaction.

I had an excellent time. Wonderful flow and signaling throughout. Aesthetic was good and spooky without being overly scary. A couple jump scares but no one in the room with you. While I don’t think this game had anything completely unique that I’d never seen, they executed everything very well and I had a great time.

Camp Crystal Lake has been my most favorite escape room i’ve done to this day!! As someone who loves escape rooms and horror, it was a double whammy. The puzzles were super fun, the intensity and jump scares were awesome!! Highly recommend this to horror escape room fans! 👏🏼👏🏼
“The puzzles were solid, if not especially novel. We liked how things spun nicely into place.“
