Legend of the Yeti

Our friends and I were interested in this new TEG venue for a while now because of the two rooms Ruins and Yeti being available here, and after a long wait it’s finally open! We enjoyed Yeti and finished pretty early and we learned we had the honor for having the record for fastest time (35min with no hints))! The game itself was a lot of fun and the usual TEG standard of logical fairly straight forward puzzles (no logical leaps). It was rated 8/10 in difficulty but we found it easier than Ruins which was 6/10 difficulty. But the immersive elements were great, solid story telling and overall a good time with 5 of us although we did burn through it. However, when we finished the feeling wasn’t, “Is that it?” but rather the satisfaction that comes from playing a quality room. Regardless, anymore than 5 experienced players, I’d say it’d be too easy- I say 3-4 players is enough and for 2 people it would be more challenging but definitely doable. Bottom line: Expect the same great customer service, production and excellent game play from their rooms. Yeti, TEG’s most recent game is no exception.

I did Gold Rush at a different Escape Game before doing this and I liked it, definitely an upgrade technologically speaking. The puzzles seemed straightforward mostly. Though one of them towards the beginning definitely seemed like you would need a piece of paper to write with. All in all a mostly fun room. I just wish there was more light in the second room. Or at least a real flashlight. It was really dark for pretty much no in game reason other than vibes. They gave us these red flare flashlights, but when one of the puzzles in the room has color requirements, this was extremely unhelpful.
