It’s Christmas Eve and a snowstorm has wrecked your plans and delayed your guests. It’s up to you to work some Yuletide Magic or Christmas just won’t happen this year.

C.U.T.E. ... What's with the Carolina market and cuteness? This room had a surprising number of fun, whimsical puzzles and actor moments. Really good small set. Acting (Audrey) was tops. Definitely do this if you have the time! My personal ranking of the 5 games at the downtown location as of August '25: 1. Classified: Operation Nine Lives (just too silly not to be my #1 here. No flaws, but it's too easy with 4, I think.) 2. Starlight Motel (excellent flow and plotting, tight with good acting moments, puzzles were just OK - a superior game to Classified, but silliness wins :) ) 3. Yuletide Magic (fun, surprisingly good puzzles and Christmasy vibes) 4. Dr. Fratelli's Cabin (Very (too) easy! A great puzzle toward the end. Good beginner game... or solo game. We finished in 24 mins as 4 people. Skippable if you're low on time) 5. Inventor's Enigma (A unique puzzle at the end, but moat puzzles were a bit simple. Relatively easy overall, might be a good beginner room. Skippable if you're low on time)

The gameplay of Yuletide Magic was nice-- the puzzles were solid and fit the theme well. Despite it being a Christmas theme, we enjoyed it in the middle of summer. The futuristic home automation system used for solution input felt distinctly out of place in the 1950s-era home decor, and not in a swank, retro-future way. The art direction and set design just felt dated and worn, like I was doing an escape room in someone's grandmother's basement. If that's what they were going for, they nailed it, but for me it created a depressing aura I couldn't quite shake despite the jaunty Christmas trappings.
There's a particularly fun use of special goggles that we enjoyed.
They nailed the 1950s vibe, but for me that made it feel cheap, dated, and worn rather than fun.

I’m convinced that Escape Artist Greenville has some of the best puzzles I’ll ever see from an escape room company. There are still multiple puzzles from this room that I think about daily. While this is one of their older rooms, it still is such a fun game that the “lesser” set (in comparison to their Hampton Station location), doesn’t matter. The room flowed really well. It was cute, on theme, and had lots of wow moments. Our actor, while the interactions were fairly brief, was phenomenal (Connor has always been wonderful across multiple games we’ve done with him). While we played this room at the beginning of August, it still got me so excited for the Christmas season. I think I was skeptical of Christmas rooms because they are usually the pieced together tacky room, but this one is the exception! We had a great time and I would recommend this room to anyone!

We had so much fun! Our group of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids under 9) finished this room with plenty of time left, but the experience is unmatched by any escape room we’ve experienced in the U.S. thus far. The sets are unique and elaborate, the acting just adds another level of an already way beyond-the-basics escape room experience. Our GM Nate was so friendly and fantastic! Every Escape Artist employee we’d interacted with during our road trip to do Escape Artists rooms genuinely enjoyed their job and had nothing but glowing and proud things to say about EA, their owners and the escape room experience. Could not recommend more highly!
Super fun twists on a classic theme
So perfect and Hollywood set-level build
From start to finish, nothing but A+ treatment
Yes
Yes, the acting brings this room (and brand) up even higher than it already is for its impressive, way above the norm, experience
Very fun twist on a Christmas caper
Medium
Not terribly difficult for experienced gamers (we finished with 15 minutes left), but I’d still recommend this room for the immense amount of fun it was and joy it sparks

So fun and original! I have seen someone review this as “the best Christmas-themed room” done, but with 250 rooms I can honestly say this was my first. The story was cleverly strung throughout, with a little actor interaction too. The puzzles were also a lot of fun and fit well with the theme.

This was my favorite of the non-premium Escape Artist Greenville games. The narration made the storyline and tasks clear, and it vaguely reminded me of a holiday movie. Set was very nice, puzzles made sense, everything felt polished.
